We asked if ribs were fall off the bone and we were assured they were. Well, they were not. We had to chew them off the bone.... Two orders for our table and both were the same. We?ve had a rather mixed bag with Jansen?s and we really want to love it because the old fashions are good and the atmosphere is... fun. We have been there six times and each time something with the food is off. Once the American fries weren?t cooked. Anothertime the fish portions were notably smaller than the previous visit. The last visit, my haddock was clearly uncooked, so I hadto send it back. It came back without the baked potato, and a minute later the waitress brought out the potato, which had beensitting on a table somewhere getting cold. I had to go because of the name (and I heard they had a great fish fry)! But let me lell you, I am by far NOT disappointed! Food... was excellent and so was the service! Met the owner (but didn't get my high five! ????????). The bartender was also my server,and she went above and beyond! Thank you Tina! There needs to be more people like her in this world. Read more
One of our local favorites! Enjoyed the Slow Roll last night. Great drinks and quick food as well as very cold and tasty bottled... water readily available. Fun for our whole family. Also one of your OG waitresses was so sweet. Great food and bingo. Have not been to Jansen's in many years as I now live in Arizona and glad we ate there.
This is as home-town quality, great drinks, casual Wisconsin vibe as it gets! Great service and excellent food. The perch is... served nightly and their walleye on Fridays is a fan favorite! The drinks are delicious and the food portions are large and comewith two side choices. Highly recommend this quaint secret spot in downtown Oshkosh! Read more
OMG -- what a great place! Everyone was super helpful & friendly, and the food was really delicious. I had their signature... perch & my husband had the prime rib, and both were perfect! And the hot buttered rum was amazing! We liked the music, butit was a bit loud (though we didn't ask them to turn it down bit). Will definitely be back if we're ever again in Oshkosh, andwould definitely recommend. Read more
