What an amazing find! Thank you google!. a random walk down the street led us to this completely innocuous location (First... suggestion....have a prominent sign).. We got some great suggestions from our hostess and tried the curries, goat and chicken. Absolutely outstanding!! If you like it hot ask for the hot sauce (ghost pepper, so be warned) it is award winning hotsauce!! we love it hot and this hot sauce exceeded all expectations!! the plantains and corn bread were delicious! Theatmosphere is unpretentious and perfect if a simple location with incredible food is what you are looking for. We will be backand encourage you to try Milah's for some absolutely authentic African cooking! Home cooked food at its best!! A bit of a hikefor us from Uptown, but we will be back!! Read more

Great experience. James is a passionate proprietor. I had the fried tilapia. It was spectacular. It was served in the... traditional style - while with head on. I have never experienced something like this being a WI farm kid. Once I figured outhow to eat it ( yep- just fork it off the bones). I had the jollof rice which was great as well. This joint is a scratchkitchen, made to order, so call ahead if you do not have the 30+ minutes to wait for the food. A surprise for Osseo, but musttry. I look forward to being present as they evolve with their passions Read more

This place is amazing. We were tipped off about this new arrival by a friend, and I am so glad we tried it. The food is... phenomenal and the staff (ok we only saw one guy) was super nice. He explained the dishes and spent a lot of time with us tomake sure everything was good. I had the curry chicken, "jollof" rice, and fried plantains; the curry is an herby, savorycreation that is completely different from what you might be used to from Asian or Indian curries.. They have some rough edgesto work out operations-wise (e.g. accidentally charged us zero for one meal... we tracked him down and got things paid), but thefood is totally worth it. Be very patient... everything is made from scratch, but again it is *totally* worth it. Pro tip:consider ordering ahead if you are on a schedule. Read more
