In general, I'm not the biggest fan of Turkish food, but Melike might have changed that for me. Of the number of different... appetizers that we chose for the table, the falafel tasted really good, albeit a tad overcooked. But my main course... mymousaka, was absolutely delicious! With a rice pudding for dessert, and great service, Melike have definitely made me thinktwice about my relationship with Turkish food. Read more
Let me preface by saying, that it is with deep regret that I have to write this review. We were a group of 8 hungry... individuals, who were in the mood for some great Turkish cuisine. The staff was very friendly when we arrived and set us a tableoutdoors, as we requested. We immediately started to order a few drinks and appetizers, which all seemed to be in the samefashion and standards as many of the restaurants we have all frequented. It only took about 45 minutes (no exaggeration) for ourappetizers to arrive, albeit very fresh tasting, but there was no need for the 45-minute wait on those. We then proceeded toorder our main dishes. After this point is where our anticipated dinner went haywire. There was a full hour of radio silencesince we ordered our main dishes, until one of us decided to go see what the issue was. The person working, whom I believed tobe the owner, responded by saying that there were too many takeout orders that came in. She assured us that it would only take afew more minutes. As soon as we saw the staff with a few dishes make their way towards our table, which at this point seemedlike there was light at the end of the tunnel, we became slightly relieved. They placed one meal down, and started to ask whichone of us ordered the lamb chops, well since none of us ordered that dish, they immediately realized that these dishes were forour table. Well, at least one of us got to eat that night. The rest of the food never came, and when we told the owner that wehad to leave, she did not even attempt to rectify the situation. She knew she was in the wrong, and that an additional "whitelie" of 10 more minutes was going to be another fallacy. We paid for what food and drinks we had consumed and left. You may beasking what is the moral of this story? Tabbouleh fail. Turkish chicken sauté was fine but bland. No lemon and no mint in the tabbouleh which are key ingredients. A... taste of nothing but parsley and tomatoes. Should have a kick of brightness from lemon/mint. Consistently inconsistent. Anothertime the lemon was not balanced with the oil and was overly acidic. Next time for a tabbouleh craving I’ll head to a Greekrestaurant. Read more

I had Turkish food while I was in Istanbul and now I had a chance to eat from here. The food was tastier than I had it in... Istanbul even, staff is friendly and would go beyond their limits to give the best service. And when it come to the place itselfyou wouldn’t find such an ambiance anywhere else in the town. Tried melike this week for an early dinner with a friend and we were pleasantly surprised. I ordered a glass of Red Wine, Lamb... Shish Kabobs, which came with white rice and salad. I ate every bit of it! Everything was delicious! We started with the fruedshrimp appetizer and ended with Baklava. I thought the menu mirrored Greek food. It's a nice little place on the main streetacross from the post office. We will return and try other dishes. Read more
Genuine Turkish Cuisine sourcing mostly locally grown ingredients. Try their "Mixed Grilled Platter" with their imported red... wine from Turkey. It is simply exquisite. Their homemade Humus is second to none and their Salads... very signature. Theyprepare vegetarian dishes and Halal approved meat. They also cater and the restaurant can be booked for large groups.
