We happened to be passing through town as we left Starved Rock Park. I saw a rating on here that said everything was great from... the prices to the portion size to the wonderful staff. That sold me. And to that I would say ditto! Read more
We stopped in on our way out of town because of all of the good reviews?:not sure we agreed with them. The hostess was very... nice, the waitress not so much. But there was a good crowd there so we felt confident. Unfortunately the food came out and itwas not great. The hollandaise sauce was like gelatin and the Gyro meat was like beef jerky. Breakfast was very good and plenty of options. Service in the morning and afternoon is great. Went last night for dinner food... was good Service was bad didn't get drinks until the meal was served and waitress didn't even introduced herself. So next timewill ask for another server to wait on us.That was April the 2nd and the server was wearing a white sweater jacket. I couldunderstand if she was busy but she wasn't. Read more
A gem! Recommended by our hotel as we are traveling and it was a step back in time. Fast service, good food with big portions... and you get dessert included! They treated us like family. Prices are excellent and a good value. Mix of families, couples,singles and the regular crowd. P.S. liver & onions are on menu and good! Read more

Came in town for a work trip and wow what a great find. I got the reuben, chicken noodle soup, and then pecan pie and ice cream... for dessert. All of it was fantastic. Waitress was great and I constantly had someone filling my coffee. Oh and btw prices areextremely reasonable. Read more
