I'll sbe honest this place isn't nearly good as it used to be years ago. The ribs came out Luke warm, we're tough and stuck to... the bone. The sauce tasted like it's very heavy in vinegar. We had a larger group, but the service was not good. We had toask for every little thing, including to get silverware. I hope the new owners can get things worked out as it wasn't a goodexperience and we won't be back for a long while. Read more

The food was good but menu is misleading. It said “onion rings piled high served with special sauce”, and although they did... taste amazing, we only got 6 onion rings placed side by side in the tray, and they forgot the special sauce which we had to askfor. Extremely pricey to pay $7.99 for only 6 onion rings. Also for the price the chicken chunks should come with at least oneside! To pay $13.99 for only 1 pound of chicken chunks with no sides is ridiculous since chicken is one of the cheapest meatsout there. My open faced bbq on Texas toast was pretty good for the price, and did come with sides so it w very reasonable, butthe meat had some chewy parts to it as if it had been sitting in a warming oven waiting to be served for a while at lunch time.We would love to come back here though if improvements are made on these issues. We are from out of town and staying in Ottowa for a bit, we drove a couple times passed the red pig inn and noticed how busy it... was so we had to try it. We were lucky to be early and got seated right away, it was swamped soon after. Our waitress wasincredibly friendly & quick and the food really good. We had the loaded fries and cheese curds as appetizers and I had the halfslab ribs and my fiancé had the open faced pulled pork dinner. We definitely loved our food and will be back if we get achance. Read more

Walked in at around 4pm almost the only people in the place. 20 mins later we got our drink order taken. Several mistakes... (forgotten food, wrong appetizer, steak with allergens on it after being ordered plain, then the replacement being a well donebelt instead of medium rare like ordered) later the new owner told me all he could do is make up a $10 gift card. Best appetizer out EVER! House chips with cheese and bacon. Amazing ranch!!! Wings were crispy and salad was fresh. Fries are... hand cut. Diners are gluten free and we had no trouble:) Read more

I had high hopes expectations for this place as I am from out of town and wanted to eat here as I pass by the place several... times driving by. With everything going on in the restaurant industry I understand service and customer experiences are at theirlowest but here we go with another barbecue restaurant slapping sauce all over the barbecue I don't want to taste overpoweringsauce on barbecue I want to taste the smoke in the meat very disappointed had high expectations for this place and was hopingfor the best but I would never come back here the beef brisket was extremely chewy like a rump roast the ribs were completelyslathered in barbecue sauce their sides are completely disappointing lacking seasoning and generally just tasted very bland theonly thing that I can actually give high marks for was the chicken wings was halfway decent and there ice tea was on point!
