My boyfriend and I visited a week ago for our (delayed) anniversary celebration and we LOVED it! We agreed this was easily the... best restaurant we've visited for an anniversary (we've just moved to Ottawa). The food was phenomenal (expensive, but so worthit). We had so much fun dressing up and since we went on a Sunday it was pretty quiet inside which was really nice. Our waiterwas so nice and funny and only further improved our experience. We loved our table, and loved the fact that we were able tovirtually pick our table if we chose. Definitely would visit again for a special event! Read more
We booked the Courtyard Restaurant for our wedding ceremony and dinner in Sept 2022. We were assigned a dedicated event... coordinator from the outset; she was extremely helpful and cooperative in working with us to design the perfect event. Everybody who attended the festivities raved about the ambience and the delicious food that was served. The Courtyard staff'sattention to detail ensured that the event went off without a hitch. We would highly recommend this as an ideal venue for awedding or other small to medium sized event. Read more
Came here for a birthday dinner and was disappointed. Ordered the scallops for an appetizer and it was quite bland. I ordered... the gnocci for dinner and it was weirdly soft. The cream sauce was also too much (very heavy) Husband ordered the denver steakwhich was good. We mainly came here for the patio experience but we were the only one there that day, so it was a bit awkward.Perhaps we came too early because the patio is pretty nice theoretically. Beautiful decor and atmosphere. The service was excellent. The food was out of this world. The duck was cooked to perfection.... The chicken was moist and very flavourful. Hats off to the chef for the combination of flavours! Will definitely be back. Wehighly recommend. Read more

Nestled is the middle of byward market in downtown Ottawa. The courtyard is a Beautiful historic restaurant from 1827.... Excellent service and good vegetarian options for food.
