Earl of Sussex is in a time warp that dates back to 1984. Good music excellent food and the time warp particularly applies to... the prices, inflation has not seen this menu since 1984 I suspect that will change shortly. Until then shepherd's pie made withreal lamb 15 bucks fish tacos under $10. And when you ask for 2 fingers of scotch whiskey here you get two phat fingers. Read more
Spent an evening there on a Sunday and were very well taken care of by staff and owners. Had a great beer selection, some games... to play, good atmosphere and great conversation. Read more

Perfect ambiance, service and great food & beers on draught!
My friend and I had it in our minds to have lunch at the Earl. It took a few trips around the block to find parking and so... pleased that we were diligent. A Beautiful restaurant, very nice food. Very nice presentation and friendly service. A pleasantvibe was erupting here and there, around the bar between patrons and another server. Scotch eggs, fish tacos and Guiness, was mylunch fare. Fun pub with nice food and drinks, and good service. Stopped by for an afternoon snack after a trip to the National Gallery of... Canada. Chicken fingers were good. So was my IPA! Interior of the pub is cute too. Read more
Stopped here on my first Ottawa trip to see the watering holes my fiance used to frequent during her time in Ottawa. We came on... a Saturday night. Seated on the patio we turned to the menu and saw it was $4.95 top shelf bourbon. Great price for some goodWoodford Reserve! We also had a burger and fries. $9.95 any burger on the menu. Great deal and great burger! Gabriel thebartender was awesome. Even though there was a private party inside he was catering to he took the time to come out and makesure we were being well taken care of. Absolutely stellar service and great prices. Love the food. Lots of beer choices including micro breweries. Very traditional pub inside and lovely patio with view.
