Was there 2 months ago, had a bento box, was awesome. Went yesterday and was atrocious. Shrimp appeared to be frozen variety... from box. Chicken was thigh which is fine but these were so fatty and seemed microwaved. All this with raised prices to boot! Read more

This place has gone downhill. There was too much rice and the sushi didn?t taste very fresh. Not worth it.

It is rice and seafood. What i would say is that it would be way better with less rice or just a better tasting one. It reminds... me of the type of sushi that you get at buffets that don't specialize in sushi. All that said however is that its filling and isfood. Also, the soy sauce is the regular salty version. The lady is nice I will say. Read more

We had a very good meal here. The sushi was presented very nicely, Udon soup was very well prepared and my curry was very... flavorful! We highly recommend this restaurant. Read more

If you think that you?ve had the worst sushi, you haven?t had it from Kyoto. Ordered a sashimi tray where 12 out of 36 pieces... were crab stick, and the fish was literally frozen. When it thawed, I noticed that the ?chef? didn?t even bother cutting itproperly. Worst sushi experience in Ottawa. Read more

What horrible food and customer service. I requested three times not to have spicy mayo on my food. They confirmed it wasn't a... problem. I get back to my desk to eat my food, and half of the sushi rolls and three rice balls are filled with spicy mayo. Itwasn't busy, I confirmed three times not to put the spicy mayo in my food. I called to speak to someone about this, and theperson on the phone was very confrontational and kept asking me if it was an allergy and what I was allergic to. He wasextremely rude and never once apologized for their mistake. Don't eat here. Read more

Wanted ramen noodles on a cold day. Other restaurant across the street was lined up out the door. Came here instead. Ramen... noodles were not quite what I was expecting. More like northern Chinese wheat noodles. Well at least there was no waiting for atable. Read more

Poor quality sushi and limited selections. Noodles are very tasty! Sushi is very salty and oily, tempura wrapped in thick... batter, worse than an all you can eat buffet sushi place. Had only been there twice during lunch and was disappointed bothtimes. Really miss the previous owner! Update [2017.12.05]: I?m changing the star rating to 4, because of their recent additionof ramen noodles, so tasty! The soap base is made with real pork bone simmered for hours everyday; noodles are made onsite, fresh with just the right texture; and to top it all, the portion is huge! A lot tastier than Sansotei from across the street! Read more
