If you sit on the outside, it really gives the small restaurant in Italy look. The pricing is very good. Portion sizes are... giant. A ~$30 XL pizza is enough to feed 2 people. The best part is the service. The wait staff can some how read your mindwhen you need them for something. That is, despite being overloaded with a bunch of tables at once. Yes, they'll still drop byto ask if the food is okay when your mouth is full. It's still funny. Read more

I finally got around to enjoying a wonderful birthday supper. My sister and I decided on Italian, so we explored the beautiful... Little Italy on Preston Street where we fell upon a cute little restaurant called La Favorita, this name looked familiar but itwas only once we sat down and started to chat with our waiter Mo that we realized, this was the iconic Italian restaurant thatwas in Vanier for so long before it moved to its new location on Preston. When we entered the ambiance and decor were cute, artwork and old wine bottles lined the walls, there was a beautiful copper looking pizza oven at the back with a little port tosee inside the kitchen. Our waiter Mo was very attentive, friendly, and super amicable. He offered menu ideas, suggested hisfavourite items and knew everything about the menu. We started with a delicious rosé and 2 appetizers, their famous home madebreaded zucchini and their bruschetta. Both were delicious, the zucchini wasn't greasy from being fried and the fresh tomatoesand home made bread from the bruschetta was a perfect accompaniment to our rosé. For the Mains, I got the Fettuccine withlobster tail and snow peas in a white wine sauce and my sister got one of their most popular vegetarian pizza, the Verona. Atthis point any of their Pizzas was going to be a hit, the crust was the best part, thin and crunchy, and the toppings weregenerous and of course fresh! The fettuccine was cooked perfectly topped with a creamy sauce, and the lobster was good. And nomeal is complete without dessert, no matter how full you are. We got the limoncello tartofu and the creme brûlé to share, Ithink the winner tonight was the limoncello, lemony and sweet perfection. We are looking forward to another night to enjoy someamazing food. On our way out, we heard that they have live music after 8pm which makes for a great night out! This is a musttry #supportlocal #ottawafoodiestalker Read more

The restaurant has a good vibe in terms of the ambiance. It?s got a good Italian touch. The beer was quite nice. It was my first... time when I tried an Italian beer (Moretti). The pizzas were also delicious. The dough was definitely freshly baked (one couldmake out the difference) and the pizzas were definitely well made. The reason for my three stars is because of the slow service. They took quite a while to bring out the pizzas. So my only comment would be if they could better their service time, it wouldbe perfect. The restaurant decoration is elegant and lovely. Our server was truly nice and helpful. He constantly check in with us to see if... we need anything and he was very polite as well but we did not get to know his name. The food is absolutely amazing. Ipersonally love the fettuccine carbonara which came with just enough sauce and cream in it not over. Caesar salad and thecalamari is fresh. If we ever return to Ottawa, La Favorita will be a place we definitely visit again. Read more

Visited for lunch while visiting Ottawa and its Little Italy. Service was helpful and attentive. We were seated in a fairly cozy... spot on their patio outside which helped with the experience. Tried one of their pizzas which was the Seafood Pizza (Frutta DiMare) which came in a thin crust but was a crispy golden brown. There was a good mix of seafood on the pizza and was able tofeed three with a large size. Recommended to get a larger size if looking to share or feed multiple. Read more

The pizza was disappointing (world famous..?). Tastes like $5 frozen pizza from walmart but it costs $20. Also not sure why we... were seated in a side room when the main dining area with better decor had no patrons. Definitely would not recommend, extremelydisappointed. Read more

The dishes were amazing - coming from someone who is picky about ?authentic italian food?. Their calamari was super crispy and... all the pasta sauces were so fresh+perfectly seasoned. The place feels really welcoming, probably partly because the ownertreats his customers like family. Excited to come back when we can dine-in, it?s so pretty (especially for dates and such). Nice place for Italian food. We ordered Bella pizza. It was good but I was expected it would be more delicious. One most... important thing, they really care about the cleaning and safety. People are really nice there. Will visit there again. Read more
