My friend and I found this place through Google and thought we'd try it out. While I hadn't had Thai food before, I've tried... many other Asian cuisines and was excited to try some since I have relocated from a very rural location that had NO Asianoptions. We arrived after a rainy walk, the side streets were packed on a Wednesday night so we had to walk two blocks forparking. The decor is nothing special, but it doesn't detract from the experience. We got the best seat in the house- a twoseater table in front of the window (so we could watch dogs go by). We used our phones to bring up the menu as they have a QRcode available on each table (unsure if they have paper copies or not) and we decided to order a couple things and split thembetween us. It didn't take long for the hostess to come over and take our order, being sure to clarify our order and the meatoptions we wanted, taking note of the spice level of each dish. Only 3 other tables had patrons, but many people came throughthe door to pick up take out. Our 3 dishes came out one at a time, and the hostess happily got us plates so we could share ourdishes. The red curry was perfect in terms of flavour and temperature, to me at least, again, I've never had real Thai foodunless you count the frozen items I've bought and reheated at home. We had tofu in it which was the only downside to this wholeexperience- I found it to be crispy on the outside, but hollow in the middle. My friend had no complaints about it. We got aside of Jasmine rice and crispy crunchy shrimp rolls and they were the perfect temperature. Lastly, our chicken pad Thai wassuperb. No complaints, we even thought the portion size was good for one person if that was all you ordered. I can't wait to goback with my husband and recommend it to other people! Read more
The wait time is about 30-45 mins. You better call and order before you dine in or take out. The food is average, not out of the... box. I have eaten Thai all the time and while reading other reviews my expectations were higher. Too expensive. I don't mindpaying more but then the quality should match with the price.There was only one server and he tried his best to run the show.Feel sorry for him. Giving 3 stars for him. Read more
Lemongrass Thai on Elgin is by far my favourite Thai yesterday in Ottawa and If I could, I would eat here every day. My... favourites include a few classics; red curry, pad Thai, Tom yum soup and spring rolls. I occasionally try a new dish like papayasalad, and cashew stir fry and am always left so impressed and satisfied. Every dish is like a big hug to the stomach. Excellent food and excellent service. The server suggested green curry pad see ew since we were looking in the curry and noodle... section. The food looked great and tasted even better. The dining room was also very beautiful with some beaded curtains betweenbooths. I highly recommend. Read more
Fresh and delicious. We ate here twice in to two days while in Ottawa. Both the curry and pad Thai are excellent, the pad Thai... especially is so fresh and light but full of flavour. I would recommend it to anyone looking for great Thai food in Ottawa. Read more
The Pad thai was not bad , the pineapple fried rice (17.95$) at this price for one serving has no taste, the rice is very mushy... and wet. Only Tom Kha soup quite good ( forget to take picture ) Read more
First and last time! 2 orders took an hour and 15mins of waiting even there were only 2 tables at that time. Bad service, the... girl took our order and a min later she already forgot and had to ask us back. The quality is bad too, you should find anotherplace if you want to try Thai food Read more
Pad thai came spilling over all over the floor and table. Server didn?t even bother cleaning the table and when asked for... napkins was ignored. Pad thai had no taste at all, it was more of a soup. Read more
