Delicious! Been going there since they opened. Chicken is aways amazing, fresh, and seasoned to perfection. Their brown rice... and garlic potatoes are delicious. Veggies are always fresh tasting. That was pretty below average. What's below "below average"? Cause that's what I just had. If you can get over the fact the... chicken was both dry as sawdust, yet .. had unrendered fat in several bites, it was seasoned like boiled chicken. I know that'sharsh.. but yeah. i started pulling chicken out before each bite, to help the experience out a bit. You'd hope the hummus isat least better than grocery store commercially produced stuff... Nope. Maybe whoever did prep that day, just missed somegarlic and citrus. Toum had less punch than Glass Joe! (Yes... Mike Tyson Punch-Out reference). It was applied liberally,but.... seemed missing from each bite. Actually kind of angry at myself, for not leaving earlier. Frustration set in afterstanding in front of the counter for 5 minutes, while the only 2 staff filled call in orders in front of me, and didn't evenacknowledge me standing there. Two star because they failed at the one thing a shawarma place has to get right, and that is their chicken shawarma. It's very... dry and it's tasteless. I made the same mistake of ordering from there again because it's the only non-junk option in theplaza. Today it tasted like something and it wasn't chicken, which makes me think it was stale. This is hands down the best place for Shawarma in Ottawa. The staff is amazing and very friendly, they will go above and beyond... to make sure you?re happy and comfortable. We have a member of my family who is allergic to chicken, when they were made awareof this they handled everything first and the chicken last so there wasn?t any chance of cross contamination. Very courteous.The food was packaged amazingly, it stayed hot for the 15 min drive home. For the price of a family platter you get so muchfood, we?ll be having left overs for days. Food was delicious. If you want to taste amazing shawarma or need to feed guestswhile on a budget this is the place to go. Can?t wait to have it again next time we get take out.
