I honestly cannot believe the service I got here today. I scared myself when I became a bit of a Karen on the bar barista. I... understand it's busy, and I understand you're all doing your best, but putting finished drinks aside and letting them accumulatewithout lids on until you decide you're ready to lid them and then call for the person is absolutely wild. Make a drink, hand itout, make another drink, hand it out. It's not rocket science. The barista let my drink sit there, without a lid on, for over 10minutes while she made other drinks, then let those sit next to mine, also without lids, then after 6 or 7 drinks hadaccumulated she then lid them and called our names. When I got my drink, not only was it cold, but it had been exposed to theair around their work station for so long I felt gross drinking it. Other baristas reaching over my uncovered drink to get lids,God knows what could fall in it. When I told the barista about this when she finally called my name, she said "I'm the only onemaking and handing out drinks, I'm doing my best" but this makes no sense because while my drink is sitting there, waiting,you're waiting for another drink to finish, to then have also sit and wait, when instead you would have had plenty of time tolid mine and others' drinks while waiting for new ones to finish. She shouldn't be working bar if she can't handle rush hour andcan't multi-task. Read more
I did mobile order and when it said it?s ready on the app i went to pick it up ,my drink was ready i can see it but my bakery... was not there ,when i asked twice i got ignored and i had to talk the cashier and then the barista replied oh we are out ofbakery do u want refund , she replied after 35 minutes of waiting , the two barista girls the blondie and the brunette they weretalking and making jokes when everybody waiting, i saw her putting bad shot espresso in a customer drink , worst service andworst taste for the drinks . Love this Starbucks, the staff are always so kind and outgoing. It can get busy since Starbucks has closed like 5 stores in this... area since the pandemic, so wait times can be a little long since everyone flocks to this single location now. (Starbucks ifyou?re reading this, the Byward market/Rideau area needs more stores!!!!) The staff handle it like champions though. Iappreciate you all :) Read more
I?ve been going to this Starbucks for about 2 years now. I used to LOVE it. Amazing staff, quick to order, and one particular... barista even recommended my now favourite drink. Now, the staffing has all changed and it isn?t the same anymore. They seem morerude, orders take a significantly long time, I get my order messed up, and on the mobile app, I?m either quoted the wrong waittime (i.e. 3-6 minute wait time, but wait is in fact 6-12 minutes) or service at this location is simply unavailable. The worstis that the other day, the store closed 2 hours before the mall due to staffing issues. It sucks that this is what this locationhas become. I used to love it but now I resent ordering from here because of how unreliable it has become. Read more
Went last night 40 minutes before they closed. Had to wait for my order because the employees were talking to each other,... sounded like they were talking bad about customers but were nice taking my order. The lady that made my drink, messed it up andmade me wait almost 10 minutes for her to remake it. She was wearing a white short sleeve shirt and had a ponytail in, her aswell as other staff should be talked to. Won?t be returning. Read more
Always get my coffee here before work and 99% of the time they give amazing service. However, there?s been two times recently... where I just stood there waiting for them to take my order, when there was many people working and just me and another customer.The workers were just having a conversation with themselves (none work related) and didn?t bother taking my order till theirconversation was done a few minutes later. Sweet and helpful baristas! I ordered a custom made matcha latte, and the girl taking my order went beyond to help and also... mentioned that the custom drink would taste good, and hope that I like it! They have placed the covid safety measures verywell. Read more
Costly, but the drinks are nice. Service is always good, if you like cheerful engaging staff! Not so great if you want to... hunker down in your morning grump before your first coffee. LMAO Read more
