My favorite Starbucks in ottawa so far. You can't always get seating initially, but you might luck out by the time your drink... is ready. The barrista was very helpful. I was ordering a pineapple passionfruit refresher for the first time, and didn't knowif a lemonade base would taste good or not. She recommended it, and that I should have no (dried) pineapple added. I orderedthe fruit in it anyway, because I wanted to try it, but she was right. The fruit is weird, and there was a hard piece (likeyou sometimes get with fresh, cut up pineapple). Otherwise the drink was great with the lemonade base. I was (pleasantly)surprised. I didn't think pineapple and lemonade would work together. I had a chocolate cake pop, which is always good. Later,I got a hot chocolate. Delish. I just wish they brought back their salted caramel Frappuccino. I am not a big caramel lover,but I love that Frappuccino almost as much as the mocha Frappuccinos. Great location, but I?ve always had long waits. I waited 15 minutes for a salted caramel cold brew this morning, while people... who ordered after me got their orders. I thought maybe they forgot about mine, so when I asked I received a sharp remark that itwas coming. Seems like they could benefit from more staff to balance all of the in-store, app, and Uber orders. Read more
So honestly in general I'm not a Starbucks fan, only cause when I order a "normal coffee" double double they tell me to do it my... self. But they will make a Carmel macchiato with lowe fat whip and 3 espresso shots ect... This location will make my doubledouble. Also over the last 5 years, it has become a Christmas tradition to stop at this location for their peppermint moka,before heading to the Christmas market at Lansdowne. Large location which was a pleasant surprise as it looks quite small from the outside. There is a lovely patio that fronts Bank... St....means plenty of traffic noise, but still outside! Service here was slow, only 2 people working, which is difficult as manyof their beverages are recipes! Plenty of seating inside. I can see that this would be very busy on weekends.
