I was not very impressed by this location. We had a dinner here and the food was overpriced and not anything to write home... about. Service was not bad. I had a Caesar salad and it was almost all the inside part of the lettuce. This was especiallydisappointing given that it is a side that costs extra. My wife had a vegetarian quesadilla which had raw and crunchy veggies onit and was the same price as the meat quesadilla even though it was only cheese and a few veggies. My chicken wrap was soggy andhad very little chicken on it. The drinks list is not very extensive and there are no British style beers available. Havingspent some time in the UK this pub is British in name only and has both a lacklustre menu and underwhelming food. Read more

Was nice and really cool after a couple of hours in the heat of the Night Asian Fest. Food delectable! I was surprised to see... more women than men in there. Unexpected. Service was a bit slow my husband says but on my end time flew by except when it wastime to pay then our gorgeous server had disappeared. Read more

Fair experience. That pub rarely impresses me. I was there with friends and we sat outside. It started to rain, we grabbed out... drinks and moves inside, only to be told that we cannot be walking around outside with drinks in hand. (we just went from theoutside patio to the main entrance using the one and only path = side walk. It was a 4 second walk. Appetizers were ok, food wasalso ok. Not impressive. I have the impression the cook and waiters are just either tired or fed up. There are better placesout there. I always liked other locations for the royal oak, I do hope this one picks up the service and food quality at somepoint. Read more

We went there for food and drinks a couple of weeks ago, and sadly, our server was wearing SO MUCH perfume. I'm surprised that... people working in food service are even allowed to wear scents into work. The food and service were fine, but strong scents arenot conducive to indoor dining. Read more

We had a lovely patio seat to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Our waitress was attentive and friendly and even provided us with... water for our small dog. The food was great I had the crispy chicken sandwich with fries and enjoyed every bite. Sorry I didn'tget any pictures. I was too busy enjoying the company and the beautiful weather. Read more

Great pub. Excellent staff. Good food. Love how the tables have clear signage for online menus if you don’t want a paper one.... Server made reference to the scannable menus and also offered a paper menu if we wanted. Save 15% on pick up / takeout orders. This place had a little bit of a line up for the patio when we went but that’s fine. You’d expect that right now - and youcan clearly see them disinfect the tables between guests. Bathrooms are available through the front door. (The side door accessto the patio / indoor dining is for servers to go in and out.) Nice pub. Read more

I used to live in New Edinburgh when I first moved to Ottawa. I’ve since moved but After all these years of living in the... capital region it’s still my favourite area of the city. This location used to house the New Edinburgh Pub. It was the placeto go and I loved it! The Royal Oak which has taken over the location is a great replacement. You can’t go wrong with themOak. ?????? Read more

Nice pub decor, clean and new still. Came with a large group, and they added serves as required. Kitchen was a bit slow though,... not up for peak demand! Fish and chips taster good, but way too crispy. Seasonal lobster roll was served in hotdog buns! Classy!A bit on the pricy side for the most basic items. Read more
