We loved our night at SOCA (the Glebe location). I love the tamarind mojito and our food was great. We couldn't decide between... some menu items so asked our waiter to surprise us, it was so fun! We were too full to try dessert so will be back soon. Read more

We loved the Westboro location and had been there many times so we thought to try the Glebe one - we really regretted that we... did. When we arrived there were only two tables occupied and they tried to sit us directly between them (inches away from theother parties). When we asked for a different table we were told they were all reserved (we also had a reservation inside). Thatwasn't very COVID friendly so we opted for a spot outside since that seemed like the only option to not sit on top of otherpeople. The service was beyond horrible... the entire restaurant (inside and out) had only 5 tables (including ours) and the twoservers seemed more interested in standing around talking to each other than waiting on people. We had the tacos which weregreat but did not make up for the disastrous service. When I asked for the bill it took 10 minutes for the server to bring itand when I tried to pay with Visa she seemed surprised and told me the other server would need to bring the machine. That tookher another 10 minutes.... and when we were finally leaving there was only one table seated inside (meaning they could haveeasily accommodated us anywhere inside). I've been to hundreds of restaurants... this definitely goes down as one of the worstever from a service perspective. It makes me sad because Soca has great food and great potential but this location really needshelp. Read more
Service decent but not inspiring when questions asked. . Overall pricey and not good value. Skimpy 46 dollar charcuterie board... which came on a large platter. Have done these many places and although meat and cheese tasty was overall flat and not nicelypresented. We Had to count the flatbread to make sure enough for both. How much does that cost to be generous ??? Cauliflowersteak average and flat flavour . Octopus very small and over cooked. Wouldn?t return here. Seems like the talent has been lost . . Read more
I?ve been dining here for years and the food is good, but not as amazing as it used to be. The tacos are delicious as usual. The... octopus was over cooked this time but nicely seasoned. I also had the pâté which I loved a lot before but this time the liversmell was quite heavy. The restaurant wasn?t too busy - even on a friday. This has been my favorite restaurant since it originally opened on Holland. Their service is excellence, their food is delicious... and their specialty drinks are always a joy.
