An excellent restaurant and by far the best place to eat in Ouray. We were in town for 3 nights and ate at Brickhouse 737 on the... first and third nights. We regret not eating here all three. The menu is well-crafted, the dishes were beautifully cooked,seasoned and plated, and the drinks were expertly mixed. It was truly an exceptional experience each night. Big menu standoutsfor us were: the short rib, the ribeye, and the elk bolognese. Wow, were these all great! Only point of improvement I?llsuggest: Rethink the basil crème brûlée. The custard was great, but the basil was overpowering for this classic Frenchdessert. There?s nothing wrong with serving a perfect classic crème brûlée. Read more
A respite from the cold?. Come in for a warm and friendly atmosphere, the first-class fine dining menu and stellar service.... Brickhouse did not disappoint. There is a downstairs seating area and an upstairs floor that is heated throughout. I would liketo highlight the variety of the menu options. The atmosphere was killer walking in and the hostess was great. Made us feel welcome and lead us upstairs through the old... firehouse. Very cool. The food was pretty high end for a small mountain town we all thought. Very savory and executed extremelywell.
