Went for lunch and ordered mostly seafood entrées and main courses. Although the snails were slightly overcooked to my taste,... the fish and scallops were perfectly cooked. The wait was long but I can understand if the kitchen is understaffed, because therestaurant was quite busy for a Wednesday. I was mainly surprised by how generous the portions were. I love how chique yethearty every dish is. It's not pretentious nor show-offy. It's food that is meant to fill you up and I feel like it's rare, nowadays, to find a restaurant that offers so much on a plate, yet still present it beautifully, and you end up coming out ofthere more than full. Lemeac defentially had better days. Place is very busy but service is good. Salmon tartare, hunger steak were tasty. Chicken... cesar salad wasn't as fresh as allways . Pain perdu was a success. Read more

We had a very negative experience especially during our first time in Montreal and at Leméac. Our meals took over an hour to... arrive after ordering and once we received them, my potato purée was missing, the mushroom ravioli was dried to the plate andthe portion sizes were small. We waited over half an hour for water and when bread was brought to the table, it was very hardand cold. Our waiter was very reluctant to assist us with choosing a meal initially when asking for his recommendations. Aftermentioning how unsatisfied we were with the experience, he walked away and ignored us. Prior to ordering, the waiter assured methat the mushroom ravioli and potato purée both contained no cheese as I do have dietary restrictions but informed me that itwould have some cream or butter in it which I said was fine. After speaking to the manager, he had offered to have new mealsremade but that the mushroom ravioli and potato purée both had lots of cheese so it was unsuitable for me to eat. The managerwas apologetic and was willing to offer us a dessert to make up for our experience but the overall experience was terrible. Wewaited so long for dinner at Lemeac that we could no longer order dinner at any other restaurant as the other places we couldhave gone to had already closed for the evening. I was very disappointed and would not recommend this restaurant or return if weare in Montreal again. Read more

On of my favorite brunch in montreal. Lunch and dinner as well. Everything they do is made to perfection. If you come to... brunch you can?t miss their blinis, with smoked salmon from the house. Their pain perdu is insane. And they have a large wineselection. Service is outstanding. Read more

The restaurant scores on the appetizers and vibes. The escargot was my favorite (super creative!!!). Entrées are in generous... portion and decent taste. Cocktails are not so good, however. Read more

Considering the high price you pay for food there (at least 20$/entrée and 30$/main course), I would describe the food as... sub-par (and I am being VERY nice here). The plates were either: tasteless, too salty or weirdly flavoured (the combination offlavors didn't fit together). Food presentation was horrible as you can see on the pictures. Fish plate came with pieces ofunseasoned boiled potatoes and bland (frozen) tiny shrimps (very disappointing for a plate that cost 40$). Duck was cooked fineand tender, but the plate itself was so dry as there was no sauce and it only came with fried potatoes and a salad. Risotto washeavy and overly salty. We were 3 and payed around 250$ in total for 3 entrées, 3 main courses, 1 drink. Obviously skippeddesserts since we weren't impressed by the meal. I really do not get why this restaurant has such good reviews. Clearlyoverpriced and overrated. I give 2 stars only because the waiters were nice (although the service was pretty ordinary too). Ido not recommend this restaurant unless you have low standards for restaurants... Read more
