It was just ok. The dip came out with pieces of bread that were hard as a rock. To their credit, she took them off of the check... and brought us pita bread. The dip itself is EXCELLENT. The entrees were also just ok. Nothing special about the proteins. Forthe price, we could make it at home and it'd be just as good or better. But the atmosphere is very nice. Friendly staff. I kept hearing when I come to Kansas City I need to try the Brass Onion. I have to say I absolutely loved the atmosphere and the... comfort foods did not disappoint. We loved everything that was served. We ordered the smoked KC jumbo wings, mawmaw's meatballs,the braised beef shirt rib, and the low country macaroni and cheese...the kids had the pizza, pasta with red sauce and the miniburgers. It would have been a perfect experience but the service was kind of slow and I was disappointed how many times I had toremind the server about my food allergy question. Food allergies are life or death for many people and some restaurants reallyget it right when it comes to being attentive to this...Brass Onion dropped the ball here. Read more
Went during brunch on a Saturday with reservations and was surprised it wasn't super packed. The service was great as was the... food. I loved the mimosas & chicken and waffles. The cinnamon rolls are huge! Will return for sure. Fun shopping in the areaafter eating is a bonus. Read more

Tried for the first time during restaurant week. Atmosphere was excellent, beautiful interior, bustling but not too loud to... converse. They have a great happy hour food and drink menu during the week which we started with. The meal was ordered from thespecial restaurant week menu so didn't get a chance to check out the full offering but the food we had was excellent and willdefinitely be back to eat off the full menu. Overall the service was great. My friend enjoyed her salmon sandwich. Her husband enjoyed his prime rib Reuben sandwich. My... mother thought the chicken avocado sandwich was delicious as well. I ordered salmon with vegetables and it was very tasty.However, my sister ordered plain pancakes and while the pancakes were large, the flavor was lacking. Corn meal is added to thebatter for sweetness, and she could taste the corn flavor. She did not enjoy the pancakes. Read more
Give this place a try! Their brunch menu looks great, this was my first time going and I got the chicken and waffle. I get this... pretty much anywhere I can trying to find my favorite and the brass onion wins! I forgot to take a picture of the waffle, but itcomes with a waffle, 2 strips, butter, syrup, hot honey, and chicken gravy. The chicken gravy is what really sets it apart fromothers I’ve tried.
