So I am in Owen Sound on business and decided to get fish and chips. What a better meal to get in a lakeside community. So I... googled best fish and chips and up popped FinCity. Well they must do things in reverse order around here. The halibut and chipswas by far the absolute worst fish and chips that I have ever had. The soggy, grossly thick batter was as if I was chewing on awet triple folded paper towel. By the time I got down to where the actual fish was it was tasteless and chewy. The fries werehorrible too; soggy, greasy, burnt oil taste with some bonus crusty pieces from previous meals. If you like fish and chips DONOT GO HERE. Visited here last week and had a great experience. Haven't had fish and chips this good in a long time. The batter was light and... crisp, a good size piece of halibut, and exceptional french fries. Good value for halibut. The fries were so good I'm havingpoutine the next time we go. Hope, our server, was a delight -- friendly and attentive. Decor leaves a little to theimagination, but most fish and chips places are like this and it's sort of part of the charm! Loads of space between tables foranyone sensitive to social distancing. Super bummed. Usually love the food here but just received my order and its soggy, undercooked and rubbery. I even specifically... requested it to be crispy, but instead I was sent something that had clearly been sitting around for a while. None if its evenremotely warm and skip won't allow it to be exchanged for a new one. Would have been perfectly happy to just give this one backin exchange for a properly cooked meal. Read more

Absolutely the worst fish and chips around! All batter and extremely tough fish, and the chips were cold and they were what you... would get at the end of the shift, the crusty gristle..couldn't even eat them. The whole meal tasted like it had been sittingfor days! Will NEVER eat here again!! Read more
