We were travelling from Tobermory on the 3rd of January and found nothing open all the way from Tobermory till Owen sound.... Finally after calling most restaurants via Google ( which showed open) and found that none were open, we got though Sabitri. Afamily run restaurant passed on by an aunt ( who ran it before) this bright and welcoming restaurant made our day even morewonderful. The host was gracious and attentive. Being so hungry we ordered a soup samosas and Momos. They were freshly preparedand tasty. The dal makhanani was vegan which was such a refreshing change as it showed that they make fresh food on order andnot made beforehand. As for the Palak : spinach veg we wanted it vegan so no paneer and instead the chef made it by my request,Lasooni Palak or garlic Palak. This was super delicious and so fresh. Food is great, a variety of dishes to choose from. They also have Nepalese dishes such as beef Momo's and others to choose... from. Naan and roti were freshly done upon request. Host was attentive and diligent and ready with great recommendation if onecan't decide. The restaurant was clean and tables were spaced apart. Covid passport is required upon entry. More than just great food! My fiancé and I visited this place on Thanksgiving Monday as we were visiting the area for our... weekend getaway. I had previously called and made reservations with Sumit. When we visited the restaurant, he rememberedeverything we had previously discussed on the telephone. It's a small operation but the attention to detail and excellentcustomer service is top notch! We really enjoyed the food but the customer service and making us feel so welcomed made this anamazing experience! Guys don?t go on 4.6 reviews. I guess locals like it more because if you are in Toronto there are way better restaurants. Still... I would say it?s better than nothing in countryside. Too much use of turmeric in food. Quantity and quantity both are median.Nice appetisers Pakoras. Also Momos were steamed, stuffing was good but slightly uncooked. Garlic Naan was best. Amazing food. Taste really good! We ordered butter chicken, beef curry, and lamb vindaloo. All of them are delicious. If you... really like spicy curry you can even ask for hot sauce to adjust the spicy level. The waiter is very nice and his explanation isvery clear. The best thing is: it has free Wi-Fi!
