This place used to be great for their first year they opened, yet since has taken a nose dive in service and quality of... food. We recently dined here and after two days of being sick, my youngest daughter and I have both recovered after eating twodifferent chicken dishes. Felt fine before and after Church, both sick within 1 hour of eating the chicken. Unfortunately theirchicken appears to be boiled, not grilled as well. I?m assuming the internal temperature never made it to where it was actuallysafe to consume. Husband?s order wrong. Took a while to get tacos redone from the kitchen, yet in their defense, it waslunch. Son?s burrito had half of it stuffed with beef and the other half they left the beef off. Our server was actually nicethis time, very apologetic over the wrong order, made sure our drinks were refilled, and was very professional. Won?t go backsadly due to the food poisoning. El Braceros is a hidden gem in Owensboro, KY. Not only are the prices competitive, but the portions are generous and will leave... you taking home leftovers to eat later. The service is quick, attentive, and overall speed to get food is average for a sitdown style Mexican restaurant. Yummy food! Sometimes service is good sometimes it?s not. That?s why the four star. There wasn?t enough servers and it took 10... mins to get our drinks, it was a slow rainy Saturday at 3:00 and there never was a rush. Our food came out mostly alright therewere some mistakes to the order and they fairly quickly had it taken care of. How ever that put me last eating and that madeeveryone have to wait on me. The whole reason to go out and eat is so everyone can enjoy the moment and eat TOGETHER. I ofcourse will give them another try as it could have just been an off day like we all have.
