Went here for the first time for my anniversary. We ordered $45 worth of food. I sampled my boyfriends meatloaf and it was... amazing, even though I hate meatloaf. I had the Steak Manhattan special for the day and it was fantastic. Wifey had the shrimp and grits that was very good. We were... seated in basement bar area and it was quite an enjoyable atmosphere and nice and cool on a hot summer day. Service wasexcellent. 1st, Touted as top 50 most romantic places in the world. It was not romantic at all. 2nd on its own very nice, great food. It is... an old 3 story house. Each room had dining tables but not necessarily walls so you could hear everyone else's conversation drunkor otherwise. Would not bring young children. Read more
Starting with the house it's located in, so beautiful and historical. Then the hostess/owner, Jeannie, was friendly and we sat... and talked with her like we were family. So relaxed. She checked on us a few times. The mixed drinks are delicious, with ansufficient portion of alcohol. The sweet potato rolls are one of a kind. I'm not a bread person. I could have eaten the whoooleplate. The appetizer sampler had everything we loved. Definitely recommended. The balsamic dressing was excellent. The pastaprimavera, prime rib, and meatloaf were cooked perfectly and each are recommended. Our server Lindsey, an air force veteran, wassuper attentive. She checked on us all throughout the meal. When I suggest to people from out of town that we need to go to a bourbon bar, we go here, and they are blown away by the... selections on the wall. It's like they didn't realize how fancy we consider bourbon here in this state, but then you go to thisbar and they realize we take this seriously! The Miller House is amazing. While they are pricy with 15 to 45 dollars for food depending on what you are getting they have an... amazing bourbon wall (ranging between $5 to well over a $100). I this place is amazing taste of southern cooking. I personallyhad the salmon. Crispy taste to the salmon. Creamy and delicious sauce. This is a very special place to take a love one. Read more
I wanted to go somewhere different for a date so my husband drove us down to owensboro to miller's and it definitely did not... disappoint. Loved the vintage charm of the building. And food was delicious and well presented. This is officially our newfavorite place. Read more
I wish I remembered to take a picture of my food because it was a beautiful plate! My husband and I celebrated our 14th wedding... anniversary here. We both had one of the best experiences at The Miller House! Our food was fresh, hot,cooked to ordered, anddelicious! Our waitress's name was Carol. She really helped give us a beautiful dinner!!
