Eggs Benedict and crows nest are my favorite breakfast items. Order a side of hollandaise sauce and dip your bacon in it! You... wouldn't regret it ???? Read more

I could give this place a review from 40 years ago, just as easy as I went recently while visiting my old home. Very good food,... very good value, a wonderful memory from years past. The fries are excellent, far better than many many places. And the BaconCheese hotdogs are the stuff of dreams - I've tried for dozens of years to recreate and never have - delicious and identicalthroughout the years. If you are ever near Oxford, CT, do yourself a favor and go here. Read more

I got food at the take out window. I ordered a hot dog and a side of cole slaw. As the server hands me the bag, I ask if... there's a fork in the stapled bag. "Should be," she said. Hmm. Well I got to my car and was getting ready to eat and foundthere was no fork for the cole slaw. I go back to get one and she see me and hands me a plastic fork. No apology at all. OK,back to the car and found there were no napkins. Ugh, let me check the glove box for an old Dunkin napkin. Found one. Next, Iopen the cole slaw cover and the already small container is only 1/3 full. I think it was $3.19 and there were only 3 forkfulsor so. The cole slaw was good though. The hot dog with the toasted and buttered bun was good too. Read more

We enjoyed breakfast here. Our waitress was excellent, coming by to see if we needed anything, were happy with our meals, if we... wanted coffee refills but never intrusive. Loved the old time CT decor, reminded us of CT diners from the 60s. Food was plainbut very good & prepared just right. Breakfast very reasonable prices & will surely return. Read more

Not impressed with the food at all. Very bland. The corned beef hash definitely was from a can and was very salty. The home... fries didn?t have enough seasoning. The only good thing was the Hollandaise sauce on the Eggs Benedict. Service was not thatgreat either honestly. Was really disappointed; everyone speaks highly of this place. Maybe we?ll try coming back for lunchinstead. Read more

We were looking for a light dinner before doing some shopping, so we stopped into Fritz?s, which we were always curious to try.... Our waitress was friendly and attentive, but I couldn?t help but be a little grossed out when we were handed menus that Iwatched come directly from another table of people, and they were not disinfected. I wouldn?t usually be bothered by that, butwith COVID being as bad as it is right now, I was a little skeeved. The pastrami Reuben and BLT were fine, and the menu wasabout what you would expect for a snack bar. We did order some fries on the side that looked like they were cooked in old oil,but they tasted okay. Overall, it was average here, and I would probably only come back to try breakfast. Read more
