I've lived in the area for a decade and although I heard great things, I'd never actually been here. Today I was pleasantly... surprised that Carl's lived up to the hype. I should have asked how many pancakes I was getting ???? The hot apple pancakes onthe specials board is FIVE pancakes covered in Apple pie filling type mixture. Messy but delicious. Cute diner. I love all the quirky decor. Food portions are large. I had a better experience going for breakfast on a Monday than... the weekend. It gets busier on Sunday morning, took longer to get food and the portion was smaller. I was hoping to haveleftovers but I didn?t. Overall, I?d definitely go again but just during the week. Excellent true old school Diner experience. Narrow alley gally style kitchen where everything is cooked in front of you. Long... counter with seats, high top tables and a dining room in the back. They take visa and Mastercard. Open Sundays and the restroomis outside. (The entry doors slide not swing out.) Read more
