WOW! If you're looking for a place that has excellent craft beer and food, you've found the right place. HomeGrown Brewing was... recommended to us, so we made the 18 mile drive and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed the Schnitzel special and Chicken LoMein? outstanding! Home made dessert was Pumpkin Tres Leches, we got the second to last piece, so good! They have a greatoutdoor seating area with 2 fire pits and music playing. Inside had a great vibe, service was delivered with a smile andeveryone that we encounter was friendly. Parking was free, located right behind the brewery and they have a convenient rearentrance. Next time we visit, we'll allow time to walk around downtown Oxford. Read more
Right off the bat I was told they were out of Coke. How do you manage to run out of the most ordered, by a long shot, soft drink... in every American restaurant? If you do, cover your screw up. Run down the block to the party store and buy a couple 12 packs.With the massive mark up, you still make a handsome profit and your customers stay happy. Then dinner came. No salt and pepperat the table. Waited with cooling food to get some. I ordered ketchup with my fries. Don't know if I'd have gotten the tiny cupwith the dollop in it if I hadn't. Seemed a bit stingy with sauce. I thought they had forgotten the barbecue on my pulled pork.Then I moved the pickle slice, and there it was! Thought the food was pricey for serving size, but with the cost of foodnowadays, maybe not. Either way, you should consider getting a snack when you get home. And I asked how's my chances of gettinganother dollop of ketchup? Turns out fat chance. I'm still waiting a week later for that and a refill on the soda I ended upgetting saddled with. Good beer and delicious food.plus some great deserts which we will try next time. By the way, salsa is amazing.

We had a baby shower here for my son and daughter-in-law. They live in Florida so they weren?t here but they had a large tv in... the private room that we were able to hook up to a laptop so they could be with everyone virtually. The private room was supercute and was all set up and ready when we arrived to start decorating. The food was delicious and it was nice having a privatebar and restroom. Our server Sarah was wonderful and very helpful with everything we needed. All of our guests really enjoyedeverything-the room, food and service. I got a lot of compliments! Thank you so much. Went to dinner with friends. Didn't have a particularly large group (6 adults and two children, but only one child ordered a... meal). We waited around an hour for food. When our food finally arrived at the table, half the meals were cold. My chicken in myalfredo was cold... not luke warm... it was cold and the texture looked poor to begin with. I rarely complain or leave reviewson restaurants, but can honestly say this was one of the worst meals I've ever had... especially given the relatively highprices. The service was poor. We never received an apology for the wait. We had to flag our waiter for everything including ourtab so we could leave in a timely manner. I was never offered a second drink after I finished the first. They never checked into see how things were or if anything was needed. They brought chicken nuggets and fries for the kid without any kind of sauceor ketchup. Not a big deal, but really? I get better service at McDonalds. Had we not waited so long, I would have sent back mymeal as I did not eat it after being turned off by the cold chicken. Read more
We had our baby shower here last weekend. The upstairs was ADORABLE and we loved having a private restroom and bar with... bartender for our event. The gas fireplace/seating area was lovely as well. We got rave reviews from our guests on both thevenue and the food. We're so glad we went with HomeGrown! Read more
Ordered a brown and then a stout, and both were WAY too carbonated. I didn't complain to the waitress, but I did let the... bartender know on my way out.(I figured he would want to know. ) His snide response was 'Well, it's better to be too carbonatedthan not enough.' Really? A micrbrewed brown or stout? So my bad beers were followed by poor customer service and a completelack of knowledge about beer. Read more
