tonight was our first time visiting yugo and we will definitely be back. atmosphere was great and food was amazing. my boyfriend... had the steak and i had the beef and broccoli and both were great. we also enjoyed a 1/2 off bottle of kim crawford sauv blanc(monday deal is 1/2 off wine bottles). charles was great and very knowledgeable about the menu. we will be back!! A unique experience in a restaurant-rich town. Not your normal hamburger steak/fried chicken place and therefore a needed... alternative in Oxford. Food, service and ambiance all excellent. Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner there and definitelyplan to go back. Read more
We celebrated our son’s graduation this evening with dinner at Yugo. We were seated outside on the patio. The Sun at 5:45 was... an issue because the shades were missing- the rollers and cords were there, but that was all. The patio was also disappointingbecause all, and I mean all, of the interior’s ambiance was missing. A few string lights, soft drapes around the patio, andsome faux cherry blossoms would be all they needed to make this a 5 star experience! A view of the jail was not what we wereexpecting for a fun night out. Our server, Charles, was definitely 5 stars. He was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu items,and attentive. The menu items were well-prepared and served with an eye to attractive plating. We ordered the tempura friedokra. It was crisp and served lengthwise. The Thai vegetable spring rolls were good and the dipping sauce was delicious. Thepork egg rolls were large and full of pork stuffing and veggies. The pork dumplings were also delicious and full ofstuffing. Our favorite item was the coconut fried shrimp. We ordered several entrees and loved them all. The beef brisket wasunique and flavorful. You can request your choice of rice or noodles. The sauce was tangy with a bit of spice, and you canrequest no peanuts. The beef sliders were prepared medium. They came with a delicious pickle and high quality bacon. The frieswere served hot and crispy and far exceeded our expectations based on the somewhat lackluster presentation. Our other entree wasa honey glazed sesame chicken served with rice. It was sweet, but not too sweet. It was good, but not the best we’ve everhad. The drink menu was extensive. We loved the hibiscus tea drink as well as the other mixed drinks we ordered. We definitelyrecommend YUGO, but if you go be sure you don’t accept a table on the patio. Read more
Atmosphere was pretty nice, and the service was very good. The food was very underwhelming, which explains the cheap prices. The... same sauce was served with at least 4 different dishes, and it was all obviously frozen food. I’m giving 2 stars because thedrinks were good. Read more
We stopped in while traveling on business, the food was absolutely amazing paired with excellent service. The brisket just melts... in your mouth. The executive chef even stopped by our table to make sure we were enjoying our food. The location is alsobeautifully designed. I'd definitely recommend trying this restaurant! Read more
Stopped in today for some dinner and drink, the bartender Joe was awesome. I started with tomato and cucumber salad, super... fresh, loved it. Next went on to the tempura okra, which had alot of flavor packed into it, the dipping sauce was a nicecomplement. Next up was the lamb dumplings, phenomenal, such a great combination of flavors with the lamb and the spice.Finished it up with the szechuan steak, got the filet med rare. Loved it, the tomato and roasted corn were a great addition, theperfect amount of spice on the steak. For drinks I recommend the silk road rush, super refreshing.
