I appreciate trying to keep the German tradition & authenticity. However I was not impressed...other than the beer everything... could have been better. GIVE them a try! Read more

Stopped for brunch/lunch while visiting our son at Miami. My wife and him had gone there once before and he said he wanted to... come back, so that's a pretty good endorsement. Don't let the somewhat steep and scary entrance to this basement establishmentscare you off, it's well worth a visit. Everybody enjoyed their brunch (son, wife) or lunch (Grandma, me). I enjoyed my darkbeer flight although the relative up charge for the 4 4-ounce pours seemed a little steep. If there's something you'reinterested in you might do better to ask for a taste and then order a half liter. I thought the Reuben was good and thechickenzilla looked very good. The brunch options were reportedly tasty as well. Will definitely return. Upon return, thereCubano was somewhat disappointing, but the half liter of Celebrator was not. Read more

This was an okay German restaurant. It was a good price. The German meals included a very nice salad. I got mine with blue... cheese and ranch which tasted great!! The Jägerschnitzel had a really tasty sauce that was sweet and had great texture. TheSchnitzel was very thick and breaded nicely. It was a really good meal. The Holstein Schnitzel was great too! It has a slightlymore vinegary sauce with a different flavor, slightly acidic. The egg on top was cute. I really wanted dessert but didn't getany. I'm not sure what dessert they had. Read more

I absolutely love the Steinkeller. A hidden gem. Consistent at providing great service, a large German beer selection and... quality food. Pictured you will find items from the brunch menu and of course, a Erdinger Hefe-Weizen beer. Flavor abound fromBrunch King Ludwig and Eggs Benedict Smoked Salmon. Beer menu and dinner menu pictured. Also included pictures of theHolsteinerschnitzel, Jagerschnitzel and spinach salad. Dinner and brunch here has never disappointed. They take pride in theirwork. Read more

Loved this place! Food was great and the staff was excellent. To start off we almost didn't get seated because we arrived about... 10 minutes before 9:00. They close at 10:00 so we were told they weren't seating anymore but I was able to convince them to letus eat. German beer was very cold and huge. Bavarian pretzel was amazing especially with the beer cheese. I was disappointedthat they were out of spatzle but again it was the end of the day. I had to settle for fries to go with my Jager schnitzel.Waitress was impressive and did an outstanding job. Read more

The brunch was absolutely delicious! Especially the browned butter sauce? syrup? for the French toast was my favorite! I would... like to visit for their regular menu. Read more

4.5 stars Was first here in 2016; still excellent. This year, came on "steak night." All was delicious, however the onion... rings weren't very warm - I'm sure it's a rare thing. I had a stein of a beer of a type which has apparently been brewed for solong, that, not only is it the first to observe the Reinheitsgebot, German Beer Purity Law of 1516, but, my charming serverinformed me, probably long predates it. (I forgot the name, alas.) Needless to say it was one of the very best beers I've hadanywhere, including Germany. My New York strip was of generous size and cooked to absolute "dead-on medium"perfection. Cheesecake was too big and delicious. But, I ate it. Highly recommended and a "don't miss" in this part of Ohio. Reservations may be needed on Steak Night? I don't know as I was "first in." Inquire. Read more
