Brigadoon never disappoints. It is worth the drive from Ottawa for tea, lunch or dinner to take in the delicious food, great... service, unique decor and beautiful building. We went to the Brigadoon for afternoon tea (at noon) before going on a tour at Upper Canada Village. It was delicious and... delightful! The ambience is Victorian, a perfect prelude to touring the village. And the food was exquisite: traditional eggsalad and cucumber sandwiches, but also innovative ones like prosciutto-wrapped asparagus pinwheels. The pastries too weredelicate and tasty. My husband and I love going to the Brigadoon for birthdays and anniversaries. Today we went for High Tea to celebrate our 15th... Wedding Anniversary. It was the fist time we ate on the patio. It was very beautiful with lots of flowers and greenery. Theumbrellas allowed for lots of shade. The food was delicious as usual. The drink specials were fabulous and were lovely on thisvery hot day. The staff were amazing like always. High Tea was $35/pp which I though was very reasonable. Read more
We don't go out very often to an expensive place to eat. However, when we do 80 percent of the time it is this place. Small... town,(Oxford mills) with some nice old stone buildings. The restaurant itself is a great piece of architecture. The menu islimited but there is something for everyone. Good appetizers, entries and sweet things. I have almost tried everything on themenu from a wonderful salmon stuffed with asparagus, venison and yes even wild boar. I would have never tried the boar anywherebut I new if I was going to try something new it would be here where it I was sure it would be cooked right. The house wine wasfrom Italy and was great. I followed up with the brownie dish and it was good too. So, I good place to go if you want to splurgeoccasionally and enjoy really good food is this place, the Brigadoon. Read more
The Brigadoon was simply one of the best dining experiences of my life. What a hidden gem. Every last detail of this restaurant... was well thought out and executed. The staff, including the owner, are absolutely delightful. The food was spectacular and themenu features a very generous variety of options to choose from. Highly recommended! Read more
Located in a beautiful small-town setting, this must be one of the best restaurants my wife and I have ever been. The food is... excellent, and the service professional and friendly. The atmosphere is convivial with all the antique mementos that gives aspecial mood to the place. While food is expensive, it is totally worth the experience. The food is high quality, very testy,well presented and the portions are quite appropriate. It is always a very enjoyable experience. I would like to add that oncouple of occasions, the Chef prepared and modified the cooking to meet my food constraints. I wholeheartedly recommend theBrigadoon. Read more

I attended a surprise 50th birthday party for my sister which was on the top floor. It was a perfect size for our approx 30... people. Food was buffet style, served by the waitresses. A bartender served everyone as we mingled and appetizers were amazingbefore dinner. A beautiful historic restaurant. Read more
