Had a fantastic birthday luncheon with my niece in law Caitlin (also her birthday), nephew Joel and great nephew JD at the Yard... House 1st time there for me. Went to the Oxnard, CA location. Got the jambalaya- one rice one pasta style. Sauce wasn't as good as the one around Long Beach.... Thinner and flavor was a bit off. But still good! Asked for extra shrimp and I got an entire skewer for a small fee.Unfortunately they were not blackened though. The shrimp in both dishes needed more seasoning and blackening. This place is amazing, great place to watch a game or grab a drink and an appetizer before a movie. They have a great beer... selection and you can even get a sample. I usually get a beer flight so I can try a few beers and the Moscow Mule is amazing. Ialways get the chicken lettuce wraps, calamari, and the nachos. We say on the patio due to lingering Covid exposure fears and we had a wonderful time. It was a chilly Sunday evening before... President's Day, and the place was hopping inside. The patio had overhead heat lamps, so it was very comfortable. We ordered akid's cheese pizza with fries, a Gardein veggie chick'n and avocado sandwich with fries, and a Gardein veggie boneless chick'nwing appetizer with buffalo and Korean chili garlic sauce. Our meals were delicious! The food was hot, flavorful andsatisfying. My wife loved the veggie chicken wings and said she will order them again next time. I loved my veggie chick'nsandwich. It was juicy and had cheese, arugula and pickle slices on the side. My son devoured his pizza, too. Read more
Our family has been here twice within the last couple weeks so I figured it was time to write a review. We like to go on Friday... and get there for happy hour. There?s a ton of great options on the menu that are half price. Now we don?t drink alcohol so takethis review into that consideration. Let me tell you some of the things that we?ve tried though. We had the Wisconsin friedcheese curds the Chinese chicken lettuce wraps the Aji sashimi a cheese pizza a barbecue chicken pizza Every time we?ve beenthere?s been a wait but it?s gone much quicker than they told us it would to get seated. Our servers have always been very kindand that?s super enjoyable. The environment is really cool. Just remember though there?s like 50 TVs in there. If you?re goingto watch sports it?s great. We were very pleased with our dining experience. Our waiter introduced himself and made himself available often. My soda was... never empty. When he went on his break, he let us know and introduced the waitress that would take care of us until he cameback. She was also right on the ball. She gave us time enough to decide on our appetizers without feeling like we waited toolong for her too come back. They were both friendly and attentive. I wish I remembered their names so I could give them therecognition they deserve. We did have one issue with a server that brought our appetizers. She carried out both at the same timeand definitely couldn't handle their combined weight. We tried to make room for them on the table quickly but we weren't fastenough. Her strength failed and to avoid dropping the food, she shoved it on the table and knocked over my sister's drink whichspilled on her. I don't think the server noticed because she walked away as soon as the food was on the table. Our waitress wasquick to get my sister another drink and clean up the table. They comped her drink to make up for the mistake. We were happywith the resolution. The food was delicious. I ordered the korean bbq cheesesteak. It was good size and was yummy. I wasn'table to finish but it still tasted great cold. My parents had the bone in ribeye and they were cooked perfectly. The meat was sotender and seemed to melt in the mouth.
