We rented out the VIP area with some friends to catch college football. The good: the food was all good. The wings are... fantastic. We tried every app nothing was a miss. Desserts were merely OK. The meh: they weren't very organized. We had theroom booked over a month in advance but when we arrived there was no waiter for that area for nearly 45 min into our time slot.The waitress herself was fine in a vacuum, but certainly wasn't any VIP treatment. Basically felt like we paid extra to sit on acouch instead of at a table lol. They could use more tvs in there as well. Each vip table gets two tvs hypothetically.Fortunately we were the only table so we could control all 6 which made it better. There are betting booths outside but thebook outside itself was unattended. This is a prime Saturday of college football with 3 or 4 top 25 matchups on the slate.Disappointing to be in vip and then still have to wait on the 2 machines to place a bet, at a minimum the vip area should haveits own machine. Overall I wouldnt do the vip again I'd just go to the regular seating. Read more
Loved the atmosphere of this bar! Awesome music, excellent service, and drink options. However, one of the dishes I ordered had... too much salt. I mean to the point I could barely eat it. The manager came by and asked me about the service. I let him knowwhat happened and he did not hesitate to take the order off my bill. I will definitely return and would recommend to anyonevisiting MGM Casino or the National Harbor. Read more
I like this place assuming you can get a seat at the bar. This place more than other sports pubs in the area work on table... turnover, therefore there is a three hour limit on tables and a minimum purchase, a la the old ESPN Zone sports bars. That isnot too common in the DC area. That said if you can get a seat at the bar none of that applies. Decent whiskey selection, goodbeer selection on tap, the steak I had was really good. Service was great. No real complaints other than the table restrictions. I plan to go back. Read more
We sat at bar, we asked different waiters and waitresses to help us with our order but one after the other was saying I’m not... covering this section and passed us! It took us like 15-20 minutes to get a hold of someone to get our order! The drink wasgenerous and tasty. Food in front of other people looked good, I’ll go back to try their food but wont seat at the baranymore! Read more
My food was very uncooked. The manager Tyliq was very insensitive to my upset stomach. He said “well some people like it... like that” Then he came to the table and had a attitude with me and said “ I have a $25 credit but you don’t have to takeit”. Wow. The steak and cheese sub is so good. My dinner date said the steak dinner was great too. This place is at MGM casino so it can... be crowded on the weekends but the weekdays are a perfect time to stop in at the bar and grab you some good food with a nicebeverage. At the current time, mask are required and you have to walk through the casino to get to it. Read more
Taps is in a great location at the MGM Casino. It's a great space to get together with friends. The food is very good. Pictured... is the Shrimp Cobb salad and beef nachos. Not pictured are the ribs. All the food was delicious. Unfortunately they get 3 starsbecause the drink are awful. I first ordered a Sangria. It wasn't sweet and it tasted very "cinnamony." I sent that drink backand ordered the Blue 45 which is pictured. Its so pretty and LOOKS like a delicious fruity cocktail. Unfortunately it was toostrong and bitter without a hint of sweetness to it. It was worst than the Sangria. I sent that drink back as well and settledwith water for the night. Had the drinks been good, i would have give 5 ????. Read more
We arrived soon after TAP opened, so there was no wait. The server took our order quickly, and food was brought to the table... quickly. Now, with the restaurant being empty, the server would have checked on us, but that did not happen. Seem since we didnot order any alcoholic drinks, then our table was not visited. There were a few problems with our food, but we could not catchthe server to complain. My steak was supposed to be medium well but was medium and laying on my mash potatoes, so there wasblood everywhere. My wife asked for no cucumbers in her salad, but her salad came with cucumbers everywhere. The manager came tothe table as we were wrapping up to leave, we shared our concerns, but nothing happened.
