It was walking distance from Centrella Bed and Breakfast. Free parking. Clean and neat interior. Extremely friendly and... dedicated staff. Interior was very interesting. There's seating above first floor over looking the diners below. We ordered takeout scrimp scampi and Chinese chicken salad. 20 minute wait which was no problem. Food was placed in plastic containers withutensils and napkins. The food was excellent. Cooked just right and well seasoned. Half a loaf of Italian bread and groundparmesan cheese was prt of meal. Food was good, but the service was slow. Last time I was at the restaurant 20 years ago, I had such fond memories of my dining... experience. However, this time, I wasn't too impressed with the service even though we were only a table for 2. I plan tocone back before 20 years elapses so hopefully my next experience will be better. A friend and I enjoyed a fabulous meal at Fandango last night. We were seated next to a window and enjoyed the ambiance. Carlos... was the server and he was fantastic! He was engaging, fun, friendly and informative. He recommended wine pairings and I trulyenjoyed the Chardonnay. We both loved the salads we ordered. I had the hearts of palm with ginger sesame dressing. Thehighlight for me was the Chicken Capri (requested capers to be added). The chicken was a perfect texture - a thin layer of crispexterior, yet tender and juicy inside. The lemon butter sauce was divine. Perfect combination of savory and tangy. The veggieswere cooked perfectly as well - slight firmness to the bite but still colorful. The potatoes were slightly chunky (which I like)and had a layer of melted cheese over the top. So far this has been our favorite restaurant we have been to in Pacific Grove. Last night’s dinner was a great experience with... wonderful service and delicious food. Having a parking lot with tons of spaces attached to the building is also a major bonus.It’s set inside an old house so it has a very quaint and homey feeling. I started off with the Beet and Fried Goat CheeseSalad and really liked it. It was a bit short on the beets in my opinion, it was 1 large beet cut into quarters so actually itwas officially not a large amount of beets, but still it was very tasty. For my entrée I chose the Sandabs and it was honestlyvery good. I have been ordering Sandabs since I was very young so I’ve had the opportunity to order it many times over theyears and this is definitely one of the better ones I have had recently. Overall a great meal and I would recommend to anyonelooking for a good dinner in or near Pacific Grove. Read more
