Myke?s Cafe It?s been a while since I have been here. The last time I was here, the service was beyond horrible. In summary,... the kitchen lost our ticket and an hour later they took our order again. No apology, no visit from the manager, and no discountfor the inconvenience. This time, we joined the waitlist on the way in to save time. We got here and checked in and accordingto the list, we were next. Well we waited, and waited. Maximum wait time was supposed to be 13 minutes but after 35 minutes, wecame in to check on why we hadn?t been seated. We watched other parties who arrived after us be seated and yet nothing forus. The hostess, without apology for apparently forgetting we were there, said she would take us now. Once we ordered, Iwatched our waitress put chairs on table tops instead of bringing us drinks, even though I saw her drop off drinks at othertables. My wife ordered the Boo Boo but changed her mind to the OG Chilaquiles which were good, although a bit spicier thanexpected. The rice and black beans that accompanied the OG Chilaquiles were delicious. For her beverage, my wife ordered theHibiscus Pineapple, which was ok. When she finished that drink, she ordered the Watermelon Cucumber Mint Lemonade, which sheloved! Once our food arrived I can honestly say that I enjoyed my Chorizo Benedict, but I already told my wife that this is thelast time we will come here. I would totally order food to go but, as for dining in, I will not do that again. Read more
Grown-up up grilled cheese (4.5/5): a tad on the saltier side but otherwise delicious! The chicken was seasoned well and tender,... the veggies really complimented the sandwich, and the bread was toasted with cheese on top! Wish they served it with a side (theprice is high enough to include a side of salad or fries). Red velvet pancakes & Matcha pancakes (2/5): the pancakes left anodd aftertaste and were quite salty, overall not tasty at all but a generous portion. We also had the Matcha Horchata and theHorchata latte: the flavour of the Horchata was great but both drinks were too sweet and the matcha didn't stand out. The lattewas a bit better since the coffee added some bitterness, but we wouldn't order these drinks again. Overall, the food wasn't badbut a bit on the pricier side, especially for the quality. This is a cool restaurant with good food but they keep forgetting my condiments, utensils and napkins despite my requests in two... separate areas on the Uber Eats app for them to provide them. This is my second time I ordered from then and the second timethey forgot. Good food though but dang. I don?t have butter or jelly for my toast or syrup! Read more
Half of Cheese Me Burger (left) and half of Bro Snicker Burger (right). both burgers taste good. I could not taste the chocolate... in the burger, which was probably for the best, the apple slice was a nice crunch component. Onion rings were perfectly fried. Read more
Stopped at Mykes cafe to pick up some brunch for my boyfriend and I. We pulled up and parked right in front since we knew we... wouldn't be long. There is more parking out back. We put in our order and sat down to have a beer while we waited. They have agood selection and there is an actual bar further back! The restaurant had a cool aesthetic I would like to come back to checkit out again! We ordered the hangover breakfast and it was damn good! Read more
Not impressed with the food I received. The food is overpriced for the quality. Maybe you?re paying for the ambiance in Pacoima,... who knows. The one good thing I can say is they have good quality cheese, that?s the only thing I truly enjoyed on both dishes.The country potatoes were huge chunks of undercooked potato. Delicious Mexican food. I am extremely picky with my Mexican food and honestly, this is the most authentic Mexican tasting... breakfast I've ever had lol. The mole was absolutely tasty and the beans were delicious. The chilaquiles were really deliciousas well. The French toast were super soft with a bit of a cereal crunch. Quite the surprising spot. I ordered the Tank special, with a mocha cold brew. My one and only complaint is that i wish there... had bigger sizes for coffee. 20z was the biggest definitely wanted more, it was really yummy. The tank special is 4 eggs whitesplaced over asada, marinaded chicken, and sauteed mushrooms, placed over a bed of kale, spinach, tomatoes, carrots, and fetacheese. The sweetness of the carrots and tomatoes were a wonderful contrast of flavor versus the salty feta.. The texture addedfrom the kale and spinash was a welcome backdrop to the savory meat and mushrooms. The egg whites on top was good with everybite. A keto breakfast ftw. I ate in the back which was a wonderful LGBT friendly atmosphere. Will definitely come again. Read more
