I walked to downtown Palatine while my car was worked on. It was early in the morning and chilly out. I was going to just stop... for a coffee, but the staff was so warm, I ended up staying and talking to them until my car was ready 2 hours later. Read more
They've kept the originality of the entire bar alive for many many decades which is very cool. Not just in major but in minor... ways as well. However, it's old school roots are nothing like the atmosphere inside. I got a Moscow mule with a plastic cup andthe music was so loud you couldn't hear your friend next to you. Read more
Ordered takeout for Lunch, when I arrived to pick up my food I was informed by a staff member that someone will be assist me in... a few minutes. That lasted 10 minutes. She then returned and asked if my name was Kevin then proceeded to took my food out ofthe warmer and left it on the counter, while I waited another five minutes for someone to come so I could pay for my food. Onceanother staff member returned to take my money and then returned with my change her response, while laughing was "They reallyneed to train people how to use the register for take out". Needless to say when I brought my food back to the office thesandwich was cold and the fries were cold and soggy. I will NOT be returning, the customer service was horrible. This place is just alright. They have cheap beer. I got yelled at by a weird scraggly drunk guy the last time I went, I have no... idea what he wanted. Just started going nuts as soon as I sat down at the bar. They should probably keep that guy out of thebar, but I bet he paid for their kids tuition over the years. Read more
Employees only care about video gambling customers. Other places in Palatine more accommodating and more customer oriented.
