My husband and I moved to the area at the end of last year. After trying a few bars in the area we just happened to pass the... palm the one day and decided to give it a chance on our way back from where we were going- we?ve been coming ever since on ournights out. We?re both in restaurants and this happens to be the only place open late night where we can actually get a beerafter work for a change. Beer selection is phenomenal first of all- always something for both of us, and we?ve never had a badmeal here either. Man I was pretty shocked. Worst meal in the history of ever. I've eaten here many times without issue. They apparently are... uninterested in carrying their service to take out. The entire $102 order was jacked. We picked up BTW this was not delivery.They advertise "online menu" which it then says "unavailable ". So we call and you can't get a human I guess till they decideto answer. Kept getting "voice mailbox is full". The irritation could be heard in her voice when we said "order takeout". Shehad to go find someone else to take an order. Picture is a Cheesesteak Hoaigie with mayo, hot peppers, lettuce, tomato, onionand cheese. (Do you see ANY of that?) The fries are extra crispy with bacon bits and canned cheese ("Palm Cheese Sauce") on theside. As like the cheesesteak, the rest of the order was gross. As bad and worse as "Vince and Friends". EXCELLENT burger and sides. Decent selection of draft beers. Quick and friendly service. Music from the juke box was NICE &... LOUD as should be at a bar. I will absolutely be back to The Palm Tavern. Read more
Stopped for dinner. Bartender said try prime rib dinner. Wow!!!!! Way above what I expected for $27.95 Good veg. Medly, good... glass of wine! Thanks bartender for recommending a great choice and good conversation. I'll be back!!!! Read more
Ate here once. Haven't been back ever since. Average pub food with below average service. Good hand-cut fries, though. We sat... down and ordered. Some regulars sat down ten minutes later at the table next to us. They ordered steamed clams as well. Thewaiter gave them clams first. Never brought us any. Totally forgot about our appetizers. My cup was empty for quite some time aswell. I left thirsty and hungry. Read more
The Palm is always good. Great food, service, and atmosphere. So thankful to find it open for lunch on Father's Day. The house... made chips are worth every calorie. Lighter and not greasy. Love them!!!!! Burger in lettuce wrap was amazing. I love theirsalmon and smashed potatoes with green beans and lemon hollandaise sauce. Read more
I've eaten at the Palm tavern before and have always had excellent food, but I was a bit disappointed with my last visit. I... ordered a burger, after my daughter raved about them, but it was not that great. I ordered the burger medium well, but therewas no pink to it, and it was quite dry. For a normal burger, this might be okay, but this thing was really thick and hadcharring in the outside. It was a chore to eat. Next time I will order medium, but I didn't want it to be too rare. Thefrench fries were excellent as usual, but they were cold when our food arrived. And boy did we have a long wait for the food. There servers were friendly and serviced us quickly at the table, but the place wasn't busy at all, and it took about 30 minutesto get our food. Again, this visit was opposite of every other time I've eaten here, when my food was awesome and arrivedquickly, so hopefully it was just a fluke. Fantastic bar all-around. Though I am greatly, greatly disappointed that they made the decision to no longer carry Kaiser... rolls. A REAL cheeseburger comes on a kaiser. Brioche doesn't cut it. Palm Tavern owners: I love your tavern, but pleasebring back Kaiser rolls! Thank you guys. Read more
