Updated 5/22 After being a customer and eating here since 2003 I had to come back to update my review and sad to say it has... changed. We got lunch for our office and myself and a few coworkers noticed all our sandwiches tasted a little different thanusual and not for the better. Im not one to write negative reviews but hoping this place can turn it around and make it one ofthe best sub shops like they used to be. Original review We have been eating here for the past 10 years or so and hands downone of the best roast beef subs you will ever have. For the sandwiches not to be Boar's Head (quality deli meat and cheese like Publix Deli) Sorry but over priced.
I really enjoy the quality of food from this place! Their sandwiches always hit the spot, super hearty bread and their meats are... not loaded with salt like other sand which joints tend to be. Staff is also very friendly and enthusiastic! Highly recommend! Read more

New owners have changed everything that made Essi's great. Meatloaf sandwich was disgusting, The shrimp salad had shells in it.... I have been eating here since 2007 and changing the look doesn't mean quality food. They even changed the bread. They will beclosed in 6 months. They are going to lose all of their regulars because the food has become subpar. Goodbye to a Riviera Beachinstitution. Rest in Peace. I hope I am wrong but I will not be eating there ever again. As an employee of the local VA Medicalcenter I am pretty sure the rest of the Hospital will soon follow suit. Read more

This is the BEST sub place!! I love their roast beef sub and the pasta salad. The sub is loaded with meat and always fresh.... It is well worth the drive. You really are missing out if you haven't been to visit Essi's. Read more
