Service 5/10 Food Quality 5/10 Value 3/10 1. Clear soup was beyond bland. It's missing that rich, almost smokey flavor that... used to be part of the reason I loved this place so much. 2. Chicken hibachi was very salty and chicken was hard on the edges(overcooked). Vegetables and rice were good. The brown sauce on the hibachi was almost gel-like. Way too thick and tastes saltyand cheap. 3. Prices have increased dramatically and quality has vastly decreased. In addition, the holiday roll used to becomplimentary. Now it's not and that dinky little "krabmeat" thing is $7.25!!! I ordered it and could not believe it was so tinyfor that cost. A total rip off. 4. Service was OK. Nothing to write home about good or bad. We've been coming here for yearsand will never return. Not sure where the Fancy Sushi from a couple years ago went, but this isn't it. It's like they honestlydon't care anymore and that's unfortunate. For reference, we went here on a Saturday at 12:30pm and were the ONLY customerseating for most of our meal. 1 more table was sat while we were there. IF YOU BUY SOMETHING OR DONT LIKE IT OR HOW THEY MADE IT TOO BAD U STILL HAVE TO PAY FOR IT ! There soup taste like dish water... and they are just horrible people. After coming here for years this will be my last visit. First the clear soups tasted like warm water and we told our server and... he removed them from the bill. Then we had ordered agedashi tofu and it looked pale but my friend gave it a try. It also tastedlike nothing except flour and we let the server know. From our table he yelled for who seemed to be the manager and she startedyelling in their language. She then proceeded to walk to our table and yell at us and smacked our table like we were in trouble.She started arguing with us and just to make her go away we told her it was fine but we would not be eating it and she took itaway. When we got our bill it was still on there and when I said something about paying for something we didn?t eat our serveryelled across the restaurant again and the manager yelled back that she would remove it. My husbandnd and I just left Fanci Sushi. My seat faced the checkout area. One of the servers, a male was at the checkout... desk. I, unfortunately, witnessed the server picking his nose and twice. Unfortunately, I lost my appetite. I would have calledattention to this act to the manager but my husband ask me not to. Disgusting. Read more
Nothing fancy about this mediocre sushi.is So bad!! They squeezed 2 sushi rolls in to this tiny box very stingy for a big... price. I honestly could not taste or find the tuna. Read more
1st time in and there will be more. Again I am not a fish gal especially raw. But, there is hibachi grill and tempura and a few... other things that I can eat. The tempura was awesome, the noodles were out of this world, The place is so clean. You saw theladies disinfecting after each customer. Most main dishes come with soup and salad. This placed used to be good. We just picked up food today - to go. It was horrible. HORRIBLE. Beef teriyaki = beef cubes with... no sauce. Spicy tuna salad = tuna soup?!? Everything we got was really bad. Not to mention they forgot a portion of rice. Iusually neve do this but it seems like they really just don?t care what they serve there anymore. I am never going back there.And I would recommend to avoid. My food was really bad. I asked for medium and got well done. Why even bother asking? Hire a newchef. Read more
UPDATE: I changed the rating because my recent experience was not good. Not only was it pricey but the food quality has... changed. I orderd both cooked and raw sushi with smoked salmon,they tried to pass off what tasted and looked like CANNED salmonas smoked salmon, also my order was not right. When I went back they told me the sushi roll I ordered (avocado on top, they putit inside and I did not get the roe either) was not made the way they had it on the menu anymore. I questioned why it was evenon the menu, they stated they needed to change it, "thanks for pointing it out". They were determined that what they gave mewas smoked salmon, they said something about their vendor told them it was smoked salmon, then tried to tell me that the tastewould be different because it was cooked. Maybe for the cooked roll, but not the raw one. They offered to remake it, but whenI asked to taste a little of the smoked salmon since they proclaimed that is what I was getting they refused. I had a $75order, half of it wrong...I ended up getting my money back. Wasn't worth it to debate, plus as an itmidation tactic a large mancame up to the counter as I conversed with the cashier / employee as soon as I walked in. Of course I wasn't going to get outof character because I had eaten there before with no problem and told them so, I just wanted to give them a chance to make itright. Kawa Sushi is better. PREVIOUS REVIEW: I'm new to the area and this has been my go to sushi spot because so far Ihave never been disappointed. I Want to explore other options but keep ending up at Fancy Sushi ????! Only thing I can sayhowever is that it can get a bit pricey which is why I gave it 4 ? instead of 5? The take out menu has not been updated, they donot voluntarily give you one so when I asked for one they told me the prices were not updated.
