Honestly tastes like my father cooking. Blows the other joint out the water. This is how Curry Goat is supposed to taste, gravy... and the whole 9. We don't do the pilgrim stuff, much love and Happy Indigenous Day. Read more

We tried a variety of food to see how the food was, as we are first-timers here. The corn meal porridge was very good?the large... one was HUGE?enough to share between probably 2 or 3 people, to be honest. We also ordered one dhalpuri?which was delicious. Iwas sorry to have to share that with my husband! I could have eaten the entire thing, but then I might not have had room foranything else. That would have been a shame! We ordered a Jamaican beef patty and a veggie patty, with 2 coco breads. They wereapparently out of coco bread, so they compensated by sending 2 additional beef Patties. While I really wanted that coco bread, upon tasting the Patties, I was not sorry! I had ordered a fried dumpling, but in its stead, they sent me a bake. This might nothave been okay with some ppl, bc they were expecting a dumpling. But this odd the only restaurant around that I can find in ourarea that even knows what a bake IS, much less make them so fantastic. So I happily accepted the substitution. Nocomplaints. And finally, speaking of bakes, my husband got the salt fish and bake. He has not had it since his own mother madeit last, over 20 years ago. He hardly said a word as he kept eating (a sure sign of its deliciousness), and when it was done, helooked so sad to see it gone. But his stomach was so happy, he said if there had been another, he would have gorged himself onit. I did grab a taste before that hot pepper sauce hit the food, and I can also attest to how good it was. If you can, givethis a try. I will also be going on to try to grab some of their salt fish and provision. It was what I originally wanted toorder, but I did not see it on the delivery menu today. I also ordered a burrito?which was fairly large, quite delicious, and agood bargain for the price! I absolutely gave this 5-stars. The food was fantastic, very authentic. And while some items werepricier than I?d like (the dhalpuri was $4.99, but was big enough to share), the bake and salt fish was on Read more

This is a unique and flavorful experience of a locally owned and operated restaurant. I met the chef and was invited with no... expectations. The incredible smells coming from this kitchen smacked us in the face as soon as we opened the door. The waitstaffis so friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clean and decorated in bright, cheerful colors. The beautifully plated food wasdevoured before I could even capture a picture but it wouldn?t do the flavors justice. Let me assure you that it is ALLdelicious but you just must to go try Sylvain?s out for yourself. Edited: Went back to get a picture. Read more

Had a really great lunch today at Sylvain's Caribbean Restaurant! I came in on a whim after finding the place on Yelp and... feeling into the idea of Caribbean food, and boy did it hit the spot. The gentleman and gentlewoman running the restaurant werevery kind with me, cracking jokes, recommending food, and telling me about their culture and values. I had the jerk chicken, itwas good and spicy and brought me back to my trip to Jamaica a few years ago. I look forward to coming back very soon to try theoxtail! Read more

Food is fresh...I am order curry chicken Roti but got beef.. It was good. The beef was tender, the flavors were they. The Griot... lunch platter came with very little rice and the Griot was covered with pikliz. Thankfully there pikliz was mild. The side ofgreen plantains also comes covered with pikliz. The sweet plantains was good. Read more
