Of course it is decorated very nicely. My mom and aunt loved it. However, that's about all they loved. We came here on my aunts ... friends recommendation. I thought it would be great because I frequent the location in Desert Hot Springs. I was unfortunatelywrong. Service terrible, food terrible, time for everything terrible. How can this be? Long standing family gathering place from when my parents lived in Rancho Mirage CA. We could have gone numerous places as Mom... and Dad aren't in the Desert any longer. But....the Food is BOMB! 3.5 stars in reality. Only two tables outside with the inside hardly packed even during lunch hour. Service was quick initially... when being seated and getting menus for us. The waitress was ok, but very nice. I believe over the course of an hour we weregenerally checked on once besides the normal original drink and food order and "check" visit which is my only large complaint.Very small thing I didn't hold against them was not offering water on the side with drinks at all but just know you should askfor it if you would like some. Tacos were pretty good, and the salsa for both the chips and tacos were very nice in my opinion.Margarita for happy hour was ok, but we only tried blended. Beer comes in an icy mug which doesn't work in favor of beers but Iunderstand it has a large appeal to many people. Decent place overall. Read more

If your in the mood for Mexican cuisine then this is the place you want to visit. Located in the beautiful Palm Desert, ... location is great adjacent to the 111 highway with lots of available parking. When you enter the restaurant you really feel likeyou are down south, the music, the decor to the friendly staff. Quickly seated, drink order taken and the generous pile of freshchips and salsa! Now I've visited my share of Mexican restaurants looking for that taste, like grandma's, and this is reallyclose. But of course no one could top Grandma. Fajitas are I must try I had the chicken and steak served sizzling! The chilerellenos I would not pass on if you like them and the Posole is fantastic with this homemade broth and very flavorful servedwith your choice of tortilla. Food was served timely, refills non stop. Now the only downside.....No flan! They have flan justnot on this day, actually its so good they claim that they actually run out of it at times. The food is all right, yet the staff is friendly. However, if you want quick service, this is not the place to come. In fact,... the time it took to get our food (and the restaurant was not busy) really made our dining experience disappointing. We waitedabout 30 minutes for our food. To top it off, I ordered a fried beef taco and received a chicken taco instead. They took thechicken one away and about 10+ minutes later I got my beef taco. The servers did not wear a mask! So first off very uncomfortable. I'm Vegan and they were Clueless about what that was so class... in session. The presentation was great and plenty of options for you. I prefer to have my top shelf poured in front of me as ashot so I don't get ripped off or sick from from another brand of Vodka but that did not happen. This establishment is great! The food is fantastic and the drinks are definitely the kind that will get someone very happy.... Although they were very short staffed, the service and the food was absolutely fantastic. I forgot what our server's name wasbut she was very kind and helpful since it was our first time visiting.
