Worst experience ever! My family and I came here to celebrate my sister in law's birthday and because many people had told us... that it was a great place, so we decided to give it a try. The chef took almost an hour to come out and when he did come out tocook our food, he didn't greet us nor make small talk, didn't do a show with the food as many people that go there like toexperience, mind you this was our first and only time going there. Literally everyone that was there got a great experiencebecause we were watching meanwhile we got our appetizers but when it was our turn we didn't get to experience it. Even to payour bill was an issue, we walked up to the front desk there was no one there, we waited for like 10 minutes until I rang thebell 3 times and someone finally came out to charge us but if not we were honestly just going to leave. I didn't know having topay your bill for a bad experience was going to be a hassle as well. I would NOT recommend anyone coming here. Spend your moneyelsewhere, ANYWHERE but here. Read more
Came here to celebrate my brother's birthday and were exited to try this place. First off the show the cook gave was good no... problem there it was fun. The food on the other hand was not as expected. The waiters took forever to go to our table to takedrink orders or even the order. We ordered shots and took them about 15 minutes if not more to get them or just any alcoholdrinks.Then they took our miso soup when we had already gotten our food (was supposed to come after the salad) because theyforgot. Then got our order wrong, but we had waited a long time already and were hungry. So we didn't tell the cook our orderwas wrong, but we were missing the calamari since we got the combination with steak and calamari they gave us shrimp instead.The white rice was under cooked it was like eating it raw not sure if that's how they serve it but no one from our party ate it.For first timers not a great experience I wouldn't go back. I have been to a lot of hibachi places But this food might be by far the worst! the customer service, atmosphere, and the... cleanliness was great. The taste of the food was completely bland, no flavor at all. For the prices I would have hoped to gettasteful food. Read more

We phoned & made a reservation for 19.30. We need not have done so as I would describe the restaurant as about 30 - 40%... occupancy. We were seated at a Teppan hot plate straight away - just the 2 of us. Drinks were taken fairly promptly and arrivedok. We ordered our meals. My wife had Filet Steak & Lemon Chicken. I had the Shogun Special with Scallops & Ribeye steak. Thefood arrived quickly and was cooked infront of us, to our liking. There was no show of any kind from the chef. He just cookedthe food and served it up. My wife finished her food first and I was about two thirds through mine when the server asked us ifwe were going to have desserts. We both declined and the check was presented to us immediately. I was still eating at thistime. Moments later, another server arrived at our table and started clearing my wife's plates, bowls & silverware away. Again Iwas still eating. She then started to clear away the drinking glasses infront of us and at this point I pushed my plate awayfrom me and stopped eating. I found this whole episode of giving us the check and starting to clear away, rude. There was no onewaiting to be seated. There were plenty of empty tables. We enjoyed our meal here at the teppanyaki table Danny was a great entertainer. Shrimp was seasoned well, but the steak was a... bit under seasoned. The glass of wine was well served. I just didn't like that, under the table it was dirty from the previousseating. Rice all over and napkins on the floor. I know everywhere is understaff but still cleaning should be priority. Service was great. Cook and wait staff very welcoming and friendly. Food was great, I had a chicken yakisoba with miso soup,... shrimp, and chicken fried rice. Noodles had a bit too much sauce, but still good. The cook tossed shrimp at us to catch in ourmouths which was a fun start to our meal. Very nice environment :) Read more
Shogun in palm desert. We were seated for a 7 pm reservation…we waited 30 minutes before we saw a waiter. Finally got our... drinks and soup and salad all at the same time….waited another 45 minutes before our chef appeared…..he never gave us ourappetizer shrimp and my steamed rice arrived after I had finished my dinner…..then it was another 15 minutes before our checkscame and another wait until he returned with the credit card…never any words of remorse that we apologize for the slowness orlet me offer you something while you wait…..the management should not take reservations if they can’t serve the diners in atimely fashion….
