One of the best Italian restaurants in Tampa Bay. The grilled octopus was so tender and the black spaghetti dish was so tasty. ... The home made tiramisu was the best I ever had. Rushed. Expensive. I don't know how many times we had to tell the wait staff, no we are not ready, have other guests coming. I... mean for spending near $700 and they don't even play Italian music? They slam 40 people upstairs of an antique home and crankout these tables. You can't slide your chair out without bumping another tables chairs. Don't expect to use the rest roomproperly either. The lines are long because there's only 1 bathroom for each gender.. Since the bathroom line took so long, youdidnt even finish your entrée, they are taking your plate from you ready to process you to the next step. The food was great,but not for the price, not for the experience, and your plates gone... whoa the check... cleaning already... Hurry hurryhurry!! take your money get out! This place is not thee authentic Italian experience that should slowly serenaded you from pureauthenticity that should make you feel a real piece of Italy. Tonight was an impromptu date for us & we couldn't have made a better dining choice. I can't say enough great things about this... place. 10/10 across the board from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The atmosphere was great, but the quality ofservice, ingredients, & attention given to every guest & into every dish served puts this place over the top. I'm more pickyabout Italian food than anything else & this is the first time in my life I've said "This is better than Nana's" that being theVeal Saltimbocca. Everything esle we had was better than I can remember from childhood. From martinis (not childhood, but someof the best my wife & I have had) & apps to perfectly cooked pasta with a truly special marinara, & espresso with spumoni thatreminded me of my Poppop (our favorite ending to many of our meals growing up). What a fine experience right from the start. When I pulled into the parking lot I was great by a cheerful valet parking... attendant. I decided to to eat at the bar.The barmaid was both knowledgeable on the menu items, and her service was outstanding.I started off with the meatballs for my appetizer which tasted great. This is a elegant dining experience. From the exterior I was pleasantly surprise by the romantic interior. The food was off the... chart. We had the veal tomahawk special. My husband said the food was excellent but the service is what will keep us comingback. The bar tender made superb drinks. The only pictures I ended up having in camera after dinner:/ . The photos do not do the dinner anywhere close to the justice... this restaurant deserves. Every interaction with the staff from the front to the back was truly picture perfect. From thegreeting with Marty from valet, to our server Tyler who did an astounding job (especially with the long list of specials withvery in depth explanations), to Rick the owner coming out and having a quick chat as well. This place is one of the mosthospitable places I have been to in some time.
