Finally tried this place. First the good, the beans were good. As for everything else, I?d rate it as ?Meh?. The pulled pork... and ribs had no smoke flavor. Absolutely no bark on the pulled pork whatsoever. Nothing special about the Mac & Cheese. I sawa bag of Kingsford charcoal which probably explains why there was no smoke flavor ????. I also felt like their prices were toohigh, especially for the brisket which is why I didn?t try it. I am not sure why BBQ places in Florida miss the mark when itcomes to good tasting BBQ ??????? If I could give zero stars I would. Heard what I assume is the owner loosing his cool on a customer who had provided some... playful banter, owner couldn't take a simple joke. He was very unprofessional and off-putting. I felt uncomfortable orderingfrom him so I left. I spoke with that customer later, she told me that was the worst treatment she has experienced from abusiness, and couldn't believe racially driven outbursts were happening here in Palm Harbor. I later have heard from othercustomers that the owner can be vulgar and some comments are racial in nature. Will not be returning. Read more
I?m unsure how this place has such good reviews. I ordered A platter of pulled pork and chicken because they were out of brisket... and the chicken looks like it came from a frozen bag from a grocery store. There is absolutely nothing barbecue about it. Thepulled pork was extremely dry and I found a hair in it. Completed disgusted, so the platter I paid $20 for was a complete wasteof money, I could?ve got a frozen bag of chicken from Publix and gotten the same quality. I also ordered six ribs and i didenjoy them. They were tender and juicy. I?m glad I ordered the ribs because the platter was not enjoyable at all. The onlyreason I?m not giving this place a one star is because the ribs were good. There is many other barbecue spots around that arebetter than this one. I?m hoping I can get a refund for this. Very good pulled pork sandwich! I'd like to see one of these in a bigger bun with more meat. Will be back! Edit: it was 5... stars. Tried to order online but apparently they didn't want my business. Tried to get the bbq plate and ordered two of the samewas told I couldn't and i was frustrated as I didn't understand how it's any issue to get the same but whatever not a business Irun. frustrated I kept ordering and when i got the bbq sauce I asked for mustard bbq sauce and "bbq sauce" he explained therewere many and I said "idk man the fuking regular, traditional" (give i cursed it was not cursing at him and my tome reflectedthat) it was just frustration that I assumed bbq had a "traditional " flavor the one you can get at any chain restaurant and myasking for this (in the tone) had the guy angry enough to tell me he doesn't need me as a customer. Do not let the small size fool you, this place is awesome. We've driven by here for almost two years without stopping by finally... did last week. We will finely be going back! First off for anyone saying it's expensive is obviously delusional because pricingis right on par with most places. As far as serving size, unless you're trying to glutton out and eat 3-5 serving sizes of food,there is more than enough here to fill you up. It came out quickly, was very fresh and prior temperature for all items. We triedbrisket, pulled pork, BBQ chicken, beans, and Mac and cheese. Everything was very good and quite honestly the best BBQ I'vefound in the area. Cannot leave out the sauce either! The sauces are all PACKED with flavor and have just the right amount ofkick for the particular type of sauce. The owner even popped up to check on how we liked everything and to ensure we didn't haveany issue. If you like BBQ you have to give this place a try. Read more
We got the 2 party pack which comes with 2# of meat of your choice, ribs, 8 buns and 4 sides. The food was fabulous. The cole... slaw wasn?t good (little too no sauce/dressing) but the other three, cucumber salad, beans and Mac and cheese were great. Thecontainers for the sides need to be bigger to feed the amount intended. But overall we loved it and will be ordering again. Next time will just get 2 cucumber salad and 2 baked beans (or mac). Very tasty, fast and convenient to feed dinner to yourfamily or friends. We ordered online and did curb side pickup. It was ready for pickup 15 minutes later. ???? Read more
