My partner & I had a fabulous dinner at Johannes! We started with the wild mushroom soup which was all I had hoped for- savory,... slightly earthy and oh so delicious. I live small plates so I went with additional appetizers including the beet salad andmussels- all delicious. My partner enjoyed the shrimp curry- amazing. Overall fantastic experience. Service was a little slow(took a long time to come to the table, offer drinks etc)- it was busy! Our table was at the sliding glass door to the patioarea- get rid of that table, it’s a terrible place to seat someone paying premium prices for a premium meal experience. OMG dying! This place is spectacular! German Mediterranean style food. Exceptional cocktail, beer and wine list. Incredible... food. Great indoor and outdoor space. Staff is spot on! Right on Indian Canyon drive. Very limited parking. To die for!! Youmust try this place!! Read more

I've dined at Johanne's multiple times and it never disappoints! Known for their schnitzel, that's typically what I order and... it's sublime. There are lots of variations to choose from and each one I've tried was delicious. Portions are gigantic, so beprepared and don your 'buffet pants' or share the plate. And do NOT miss out on the incredible ahi tuna tartare appetizer. It'sthe stuff dreams are made of! SO good and a generous size for an appetizer. Service was excellent. Read more
Reservation process was simple. Called left message, got a prompt call back shortly after 3pm. Great wine and cocktail... menu. Started with the meatballs in curry sauce and the seafood cocktail. Main course, I had the Pork Medallions My Way withapples, pees, gnocchi and a small side of spetzel. Service was good, food was good. Would definitely come back. Read more
Jagar Schnitzel was fantastic. Mushroom soup was perfect. The three seafood appetizer in champagne glass was very tasty.
What a lovely time! Hadn’t been to Johannes in a few years and was totally delighted with this return trip. The menu was full... of great German options but also a bit of “California meets Asia” fare too. The food was perfectly prepared and so fresh.The berry bread pudding was the perfect end as well. Haven't been here for quite a while...it was a very pleasant and delicious evening. Beth our server was delightful and very... attentive! I highly recommend the Sezarac cocktail if you like whiskey. It is made with Bullet Rye, absinthe, Peychaud'sbitters, sugar cube and a lemon twist. Kind of a modified sidecar that has been around since the mid 1800's. Delightful!! Myhusband had the Texas onion soup...OMG.. velvety and delicious. I had the radicchio salad with toasted hazelnuts, feta, dates,arugula and pear. Yummy!! Truly the soup and salad could be your meal... But gluttons that we are we both ordered vealschnitzels. His was a traditional one with capers and lemon. Mine was Jager style with mushrooms, red wine sauce, bacon andcrispy onions. Both were served with cranberry sauce and creamy cucumber salad. We were too full for dessert but I think it isabsolutely brilliant that they have a 'sample' plate of three bite size portions of their most popular desserts for those whowant a little sweet something something without having to order a big dessert.
