The Twin burger was delicious and cooked to perfection. Slightly pink, the two parties were clearly quality beef. The... caramelized onions were sweet and the special sauce was cheesy exquisiteness. The buns were toasted and it all came togetherinto a masterpiece. The fries were great. The atmosphere is chill and the music adds to the ambiance. It was chillingly emptyinside but added to the exclusive experience. For an empty restaurant, I would have expected better service. Perhaps this iswhat keeps people away. Read more

What used to be Denny's and a HoJo before has been King's Highway for a while now. I was impressed by my server, Elizabeth, who... is a long time employee who shared the history of this place. Food presentation was great, but what I had was small for theprice. The menu is limited which is sensible during off season and a bit pricey even for Palm Springs. The ambience is eclecticincluding their flooring which apparently the original and should be replaced. The lounge and access to the Ace Hotel pool isjust steps away. Read more

One of our favorite local spots for a good quick bite to eat is the Ace Hotel's KINGS HIGHWAY Diner on the corner of Palm Canyon... and Camino Real. The menu, (though understandably limited during off season), is still substantial enough to meet anyone'spalate. This particular day we decided to test drive the bar as well. We started with 1 Bloody Mary and 1 "twist" onmimosas--instead of orange juice, a lovely presentation of champagne & pineapple juice with an edible purple flower in thecenter. . . (Interesting but we prefer orange juice next time, LOL) The Bloody Mary was spicy and nourishing with a garnish ofolives, sweet peppers and other edibles. (One can be assured of not drinking on an empty stomach with that one...) We decidedto test drive the shishito peppers and split the "Impossible [veggie] Burger": The peppers were AWESOME and even tasted betterthe next day when we couldn't finish the order (which was substantial) and reheated them in our toaster oven. The IMPOSSIBLEBurger was as good as an "Impossible" Burger can possibly be. The burger itself is... well the burger. But the bread, accoutrements, condiments and everything made this plant burger taste actually pretty special. One is given the option of frenchfries or salad. We opted for the salad that came with its own dressing. (Have no idea what the dressing was but it wasdelicious...) This place is a lot of fun and during season has so many things going on that it's harder to get in than it isnow during the summer. Take advantage of that! In fact, we've even heard a great rumor that they will be bringing Drag Bingoback shortly (if it hasn't been brought back already). You have never seen a more hilarious assortment of people from around theworld get together and laugh uproariously. This is one of our favorite neighborhood haunts. It should be yours as well! 3.5/5 Food 5/5 Atmosphere This dichotomy is like the obvious standard for Ace Hotel stuff. You’re here for the artfully... curated experience photographable experience, and the food is just good enough to not make you upset at the price of it all. Butlike, come on…everything looks so nice in these places. Worth it. We messed up when dinners stopped looking like thiseverywhere. Ordered the Kings Breakfast and the Breakfast Sandwich, both perfectly fine. Potatoes were seasoned well enough.Nothing super special with the food here, but the ambience makes you feel like you’re in a Tarantino film orwhatever. Nothing to complain about with the service, price is standardly high but that’s just what you’re signing up foreating out nowadays. Would eat here again for sure! Read more

Classic Route 66 Diner vibes at King’s Highway located in The Ace Hotel. They serve lunch/breakfast until 2pm and then they... switch over to the dinner menu. I went for a late breakfast and tried out their breakfast burrito. It’s a bit $$$ (I’mused to those hole in the wall places in SoCal) but the burrito overall itself was very yummy! Solid comfort food. Read more

Walked in for dinner for one. Restaurant was only about 25% occupied. Tables were set up for diners, including the full counter... that was empty. I was told it would be a 30-45min wait due to prior reservations. Sure, no problem. 30 minutes later, noreservations came in and no one was sat. Also, no tables left. I was then seated. During my entire time dining the restaurantwas never more than 25% occupied. Perhaps understaffed which I understand, but don’t lie about it. I also saw employeesstanding around, so who knows. The cocktail I ordered was delicious! I started with a beet salad that was good. I love gettingartisan food in a classic looking restaurant. For the entree I opted for the chicken sandwich. Please don’t get it. Smallchicken breast, fried until all the moisture was gone, and served on a generic hamburger bun. The fries were hot, but theportion was small. This same dish could of been served at a bowling alley or at a bar. I expected more from Kings Hideaway. Iordered dessert to go. The key lime pie was forgettable. Read more

Visited here with friend for late dinner Thursday and I was immediately impressed with the decor. I loved the layout of the... restaurant with the old fashioned yet modern minimalist look, it reminded me of a 50’s bowling alley restaurant onlycompletely cleaned up, revamped and retrofitted with 2020’s vibes. The server was very friendly and did a terrific jobalthough it was only us and another table at the time and I would have appreciated him refilling my soda without me having toask even though that’s a minor complaint. I looked into the bar and the interior design was very cool looking and unlikeanything I’ve seen before. I didn’t get the chance to stay in one of their rooms or use their pool but next visit to PalmSprings I will go out of my way to come here. The menu was very small maybe 12 items total? My friend had an orange wine whichI’d never seen before. If you are a hamburger lover/connoisseur then definitely try their burger it was rich and delicious andflavorful maybe almost too rich but that’s not a compliment just a speculation. It was one of the best burgers I’ve everhad. Cooked to perfection if you like medium rare anyways which I do! This is a must go restaurant spot for anyone visiting orliving in Palm Springs Read more
