Service was a disaster and the prices didn't match (very high). $19 for a 5-posticker appetizer. I don't mind paying for a... high-priced experience but we had two times (not a typo) that a server was at our table, to take the order and to drop the food. If staffing is a problem, close down part of the dining room. It was quite ridiculous. Read more

We had such a great time here! Our server Nicky was wonderful, the food was terrific (crunchy Asian salad and kung pao noodle),... and the dining room is super cute. Will be back our next visit to Palm Springs ???? Read more

Beautiful restaurant with water flowing, calm music and beautiful red accents. Nicholas was an exceptional waiter I'd give him... 10 ???? stars he was so friendly, attentive and provided excellent service. Now the reason for 2 stars is the food suckedhonestly no flavor, just not authenticity. Read more

Awful, especially when compared to what it used to be. Whoever the new owners are probably just used it for a quick PPP loan... payday whole sacrificing everything that the place used to be. The Honey Walnut Shrimp used to be a favorite. A real treat, andan inspired take on the dish. Now? Dry, previously frozen small pieces of shrimp in an extremely underwhelming sauce. $31 getsyou 7 pieces, by the way. These are not prawns. These are small shrimp, nearly bay shrimp. Poor effort. OK, onto the lemonchicken. What uses to be a hearty portion of lightly fried strips of juicy white meat with a nice drizzling of sweet and tangylemon sauce is now....well I'm not sure what it was. It was 13 pieces of misshapen pieces of dark meat with...maybe sauce? Maybejust a weird lemon flavoring? It's like the chicken was prepared on a surface that was recently cleaned with lemon scent pledge. That's how I'd describe it. $29 for whatever that was. Combo fried rice. Not bad. Much smaller portion than what you used toget, for sure. But still. The non-descript almost "off-beige" chunks of meat in it were at least moist. $26 Good spring rolls.Recommend. Read more

I remember Wang's from many years ago. One of the most popular places to drink and dine in the desert. I haven't been there in... some time. 7 of us got together to give it another try, as there have been some ownership changes. We made a reservation, though when we got there at 7 pm on a Friday night, there were only 2 other tables with patrons. We should have heeded thatclue. The host was a burly fellow in shorts and a tank top. He said they had no tables in the dining room that wouldaccommodate 7 people, so they put us up on stage in a makeshift booth. Our server was obviously quite new at her job as she didnot know anything about the drink menu and couldn't tell us what was in their signature martini. I ordered a glass ofRutherford Merlot. When it arrived, it was far above room temperature, and almost undrinkable. I ended up having to put icecubes in it, to enjoy it. That is something I almost never do, as it changes the wine completely. We ordered some appetizersand our entrees. It should be noted that this is a $$$ priced Asian food. Entrees were $20-36, and appetizers $20-40. Theportions were small and completely lacking in "presentation". The entrees arrived at the same time as the appetizers. TheWang's I remembered from years ago, excelled at presentation, using orchids and clever arrangements to enhance the look of thedishes. The food was okay. Nothing special. I won't bother describing the dishes, as they were all very mediocre. A cutabove the Panda, but just barely. The server, while somewhat clueless about the menu, was at least attentive, and did her best. The bar was empty, as was mostly the restaurant, on a Friday night. It was obvious many patrons no longer dinner here. I willbe joining those patrons and looking elsewhere for an enjoyable Asian dining experience. The love of Good food, friendly staff, and fine service, had long left the building. Sadly we all decided not to return. Read more

Delicious. Great, straight on Chinese food. The hot and sour soup, which is what the picture is of, was so, so good and served... in that cool dish. The walnut shrimp was perfect. We felt the portions were kind of small (except for the soup) which is theonly reason for the 4 stars. Would absolutely go again. Read more

Wang's is opened again. Overpriced mediocre Asian food. We ordered wonton soup, Mongolian beef, and calamari with jalapeño.... Wonton soup terrible: a big bowl with 4 wonton (for 2 persons) floating in stock. Bad presentation. It should had some greens(and noodles if going traditional). The wonton itself was the worst. Compact mass of minced chicken with no flavor and missingother important ingredients (i.e. black mushrooms, bamboo shoot, sesame oil, etc). Mongolian beef was okay. Actually the meatwas tender but I would never season the meat with hoising sauce. Calamari was soggy and missing the flavor of calamari. Inaddition, they charged 3 dollars for hot water (to be fair, the waiter told us). We paid over 80 bucks for a small dinner. Notworth it! Unfortunately, I can't patronize or recommend this restaurant. Read more
