Solid ramen place ???????If you are craving for it, this is the place to go. No lineup during the lunch time when we went. Iron... Yakimeshi are rice dishes cooked on cast iron pan. The rice is crispy, and I would recommend it too! Read more

A humble little ramen and tapas store that has been around for many, many years. Their ramen portions are super generous and the... service is efficient. We got the: 1) Asahi Chashu Ramen w/ Shio Broth: Generous amounts of Chashu! I got mine without thebamboo shoots. The egg was cooked PERFECTLY! I like al dente noodles, but mine still needed a few more seconds on the stove. Iliked that the broth wasn't too salty. 3/5 2) Tsukemen: The broth flavor was unique, but I think it needed to be moreconcentrated for a dipping broth. 3/5 3) Yaki Onigiri: Two triangles of rice, coated with butter and soy sauce. It is...divine. The crunch, the flavor, the smell! I could eat this all day! 5/5 Parking is easy, but getting out requires SEVERALpoint turns. Also, wishing you luck if you accidentally turn into the church parking lot right before the restaurant. Thedrivers are ruthless and won't let you out. Read more

Decent ramen for a fair price. A hearty meal with lots of veggies, thick pieces of meat and a welcoming amount of noodles. Not... the best ramen out there, but it is a filling lunch. Some good: - Friendly servers - Good portions, I eat a lot and felt fullafter this meal. Some nitpicks: - The broth was a bit salty, - The noodles felt mass produced, they didn't hold onto the brothand were quite smooth in texture. - Service was a bit slow Overall, not a bad spot for a meal. The location is quite out of theway though, so probably won't be coming here again. Read more

Unique tasting and style of ramen. A good dinner experience coming from Vancouver, BC Canada The Dohatsuten Ramen - Tasted... alright, not the best I've had compared to Vancouver, BC's ramen The Tsukemen - Tasted delicious and we enjoyed the yuzu-soyflavor which was different! The Chicken Karaage - Good tasting hot app, who doesn't like fried chicken as a starter? Read more

We ordered Dohatsuten Ramen, Taro Pork Ramen, and Chicken Karaage. The ramen broth is better than expected, but the pork belly... and chashu pork are very good; at this price point per bowl, you might be able to find other place with better broth but mightbe hard to find ramen with so much topping! Psst. Don't travel far to come here. It's not that good. I was getting off work like 10 mins away and didn't want to wait in... line at Ramen Nagi. Luckily Dohatsuten is open until 8pm. There was a 10 min wait for an indoor table at 7:30pm. If you havetasted good ramen in Japan, the broth here is acceptable, not great. I came here later in day hoping to get the best of thetonkotsu broth, the sediments. Instead, I gotten a watered down version. (The chef might have decided to make the broth lastlonger for today's meal service.) The meats however, were good. The Dohatsuten ramen $13.75 came with a scoop of sweet mincedpork, chashu and braised pork. Those pieces of meat saved this ramen from being mediocre. I'm not sure why they added carrotsand cabbage in ramen. It doesn't belong there. My appetizer was calamari $8.75. It included both rings and tentacles. This wouldhave been bad if they didn't include that aioli sauce. The batter was bland. I asked for a lemon wedge but they were out. I wasreally hoping they served it with some dried green seaweed flakes or even shichimi togarashi (Japanese 7 spice blend) to give itsome flavor. Even boring salt and pepper would have sufficed. One of the worst ramen places. Service is lacking: long wait even half of the tables are empty. I have the Salt broth and Taro... Pork belly. The broth has kind of artificial flavor and no aroma. The pork is not tender and chewy. The restaurant is dirty so Isat outside. Didn?t finish my ramen and went to another restaurant to finish my lunch. Read more

Dohatsuten is popular with the lunch crowd around here - many of them tech workers. It?s not hard to see why - the place has... great service, a good variety of Japanese foods (many as tapas), and a great atmosphere for conversation. The outdoor seatingwas spot-on, and on a bright sunny day I?d take it over indoor. Food-wise, you?re going to want to get the Chicken Karaage, orprobably the waiter will recommend it to you. It?s got a lighter crust than most Chicken Karaages, but is well seasoned andcomes with a nice spicy mayo. I also had the Signature Ramen, which was a mouthful. Don?t, don?t, don?t order this when havinglunch with your co-workers, or with a date. Do, do, do order this if you want to stuff yourself with hot soup like your lifedepends on it. Read more
