I often hangout in Palo Alto and never tried this restaurant, so glad I did eventually! I definitely will back there again.... Food, service and price was good. Hummmm still miss this amazing pasta that works well with Pino. An update; good news they areopen for lunch again! My previous review was before the pandemic! The quality and service is still great! Terrible service. We had to wait forever for a server to come over. Eventually, another person took our order. We had to flag a... food runner to get some olive oil. Only got a water refill towards the end of the dinner. We waited for awhile for the check tobe processed. Food was good though, hence 3 starts. Read more
Large restaurant able to handle a large quantity of guests. Lovely outdoor patio area and we are able to get a party of 7 seated... on Friday without reservations on the outdoor patio. Plenty of parking nearby. Food was quite delicious and classic Italiandishes. Not a bad dish out of all the ones we tried. Read more
Portions are quite big. I’m underwhelmed by the overall taste of the food - they are good but within the realm of basic and... not super impressive. I would say with that price and atmosphere, it’s a pretty good deal in Palo Alto Read more
I love this place. Super good service and excellent food. We just ordered 2 of there pizzas ???? and a bottle of wine ????.... Nothing fancy, but the pizza was fantastic and the vine matched the food. Service was always there when you needed them even ifthey were busy with other tables. You should book a table in advance if you go. Read more
Nice Italian restaurant. Liked the menu quite a bit, good amount of variety and fairly affordable. The dessert we had (pudding... bread) was amazing. However, I was a bit underwhelmed by the general look / atmosphere of this location. Still, definitely agood option for this sort of food. Read more
We were going to Il Fornaio in Palo Alto for years! They have great food and service is always perfect. Sunday brunch offers... some special choices like omelets with smoked salmon, goat cheese and asparagus. They are open all day and you can come for ameal, dessert or to get a drink. They have indoor and outdoor seating, friendly to kids and pets. The restaurant is very quietand is good for meetings and family gatherings. Read more
Food is ok but the service is horrible. We came yesterday to celebrate my son's birthday. We waited 10 minutes to get seated... just because no one was there. 5 waitresses saw us waiting to talk to someone and just ignored us. I finally went to talk to oneof the waitresses and she was nice and got us seated. Then we waited another 15 minutes and no one came to take the order (ourwaitress looked at us a few times but decided to ignore us as well :)). I finally went and got the manager and she basicallyserved us the whole night. It is the second time we have gotten such a poor service there and we will definitely never go backthere. If you want ok food but to serve yourself, it is the best restaurant for that :) Read more
