Absolutely dreadful!!! NO HYGIENE STANDARDS!!! Asked the barista to clean my smoothie after his lazy poor and HE USED THE SAME... RAG HE WAS WIPING THE COUNTERTOP WITH in the rim of my cup. When I complained he said he didn?t see and issue and wouldn?tremake my drink. I didn?t know dirty rags were an ingredient for an avocado shake DISGUSTING and SHAMEFUL SERVICE : the photoshows the dirty rag the barista used to clean my cup and the counter and him taking off the gloves he used to handle cleaningproducts AFTER I pointed out how unhygienic it is to Handle food and chemicals. Had the 'Green Shield', liked that it wasn't overwhelmingly apple, but was a bit watery. Would have liked more leafy... greens. So many places, the green juice tastes like green colored apple juice, not here. This Palo Alto location is a restfulspot on a lazy sunny Saturday afternoon. There were families with children, people with laptops, and friends chatting, but noone was overly loud or noisy. (Burlingame location for example tends to feel hectic, like a crowded Chinatown afternoon)Bathrooms could use a clean, trash bin was overflowing. Read more

Overall, recommended. Pros: very good coffee, great ambience. Cons: could be cleaner (esp. toilets), quite cold inside, on the... expensive side. Great for studying. Overall, much better than most cafes in Palo Alto and similar in quality to Blue Bottle. Read more
