Lovely food...we sat outside and with a delightful briny breeze, the dinner was memorable. I was dining solo (which I do not love doing but am getting used to), and the friendliness of the staff, ambiance, vast menu,... and delicious food will make me a return guest for sure. I waited a moment for a table outside, and received a complimentaryglass of wine - which was unnecessary but so very appreciated! Osteria Toscana in downtown Palo Alto was a fine experience enjoying pleasant Italian food. We got started with the... complimentary bread which was freshly baked and easy to chew. The pasta I ordered (forgot the name but it's like a lasagna dishand fully vegetarian) was incredible, from the sauce and cheese to the flavors in the pasta and the portion size was generous.Our server, Jorge, was fantastic from start to finish, checking on us regularly and getting our orders out quite quickly. Thisis definitely on the pricier side, but it's worth it for the food and ambience. Parking is a bit tricky but in addition tostreet parking there's a garage a couple blocks away with free parking.
