Came here on a Friday night to a busy dining room -- reservations definitely needed -- and a warm bustling atmosphere. We did... not notice any outdoor seating unless it was in the back, which was good since it was a chilly evening. We ordered almost all ofthe vegetarian offerings. We started with Queso Fundido con Soyrizo ($16) which was disappointing, barely any Soyrizo and theyonly provide three tortillas (you need six minimum to finish this off). For mains, we had the Coliflor a la Parrilla ($25) whichwas good but could have used more of the gravy proportionally for the cauliflower, and the Chile Poblano ($22) which was one ofthe best Mexican dishes have had (the texture and flavor all came together very nicely). For drinks we had the TamarindMargarita ($14) and the Tierra Madre Lager ($8), both of which were solid. The service was a bit slow, even accounting for thenumber of customers at the time. Read more

Update: the braised short ribs and piblano pepper is a delicious gluten/dairy free dinner option! The rib meat was so succulent.... Such great service and absolutely worth the price. Hands down my favorite place for a fancy Margarita and delicious Mexicanappetizers in Palo Alto. The staff are always so friendly when it comes to seating my party (best to make a reservation),ordering food or cocktails. The bartenders are helpful and know how to make a Margarita!! Love the ambiance, vaulted ceilingsand decor there. Chips and Guacamole are so good ( chips apparently not Gluten-free but they’ve never made me sick)!! Best fora date night, dinner with friends or co-workers! Always go with the Large Margarita, halfway through the regular marg you’llbe full of regret!! Haha! Always a favorite place for me and I’m never disappointed!! Best to park under the police station inthe underground public lot after 5pm! Read more

A very fun place to go for a drink or having dinner. Dropped by to have a margarita and an aperativo. I had a large traditional... margarita on the rock with salted rim. DELICIOUS! Then a Cameron's al ajillo, and chips & salsa. The staffs were very friendlyand attentive. A great place to go. Read more

I must say this place has the best Cadillac Margarita that I have ever had. (that I didn’t make of course). Our server was... really nice and prompt when we needed her. Everything was brought to us accurately. My husband enjoyed the vegetarian ChiliPoblano it was delish. I had the Costilla de res en adobo. It touched many flavors that I love so it was perfect. For thedessert we had a hard time deciding between a dessert in house or to walk University Street for Ice cream. We ordered thePlatano Enmielado for dessert with caramel ice cream, we are so glad we made this decision it was outstanding. I recommend thisrestaurant to anyone looking for a place where you can’t go wrong with anything you order. Everything is made in house as faras I know. Very very tasty. Read more

The portions are so small compared to the price. We (2 people) ordered an appetizer and a main course (we usually do) and... literally we were not feeling even a little bit full. By the way the appetizer (some kind of turnover with shrimp) was reallygood. I didn’t like our main course because it had a specific kind of spice in it which was not my favorite. They even don’thave tortillas for free for each table (which a lot of Mexican restaurants do) As we calculated They collect nearly 11.5% taxthat is too much as well. Im not sure if I will come back again! Read more

The food was extremely small proportions for the price it was not worth it the only good thing was the empanadas. Everything was... extremely spicy as though they were trying to hide that the food left flavor. The presentation was beautiful but the food waspretty much just that beautiful. The server what is easily distracted and forgot to put our order in. Didn’t wait until I wasfinished ordering and walked away never checked on us other people came and he came back with the bill and that was it. I haveno desire to eat here ever again. Not to mention the price for something that didn’t even fill us up. Read more

Good idea to have a reservation if you don't like to wait. It was not crazy busy when we went and both tables in and outside... were available. The outside are for small parties and have heaters. Staff was very pleasant and checked on us a few times. Food was served hot and presented nicely. They have a bar in the middle with TVs running if you are following a game. Read more
