It’s got lovely interiors and a great vibe to set the Indian mood. We loved the ambiance and thought the menu sounded... fascinating. The prices were high and the food wasn’t great nor was the quantity any justice to the price. But in enjoyed theevening trying new things on their menu and had a great night! Our table for six on a Monday evening was in an isolated area in the back of the restaurant between a couple of collapsing... doors. The arrangement made a poor ambiance for our celebratory occasion. Coming to the food, we tried quiet a few things onthe menu and here are my ratings based on taste and preparation. 5/5 - Dahi Puri - the yogurt mousse is made to perfectionproviding a rich taste and consistent crunch. Coincidentally our favorite in the SF restaurant. 3/5 - Prawn Ghee Roast -didn’t look appealing and fell short on the spice expectations. 5/5 - Masala Jackfruit Cutlet - a masterful creation by thechef that I highly recommend. Perfectly minced and flavorful in the inside and fried to perfection. 3/5 - Chicken Malai Tikka -cooked to perfection, a good one for kids as it’s not spicy. 3/5 - Tandoori Chicken Bomba - wasn’t very consistent anddisintegrated easily. Some of them were over fried in our order. 5/5 - Lamb Keema Hyperabadi - another must try dish amongstthe appetizers. Perfectly balanced spices that give a mouth melting taste. Superb!! 5/5 - Chicken Nargisi Kofta - a wonderfulfusion similar to the famous Bengali dish - “deem er devil”. Our favorite in the large plates. 3/5 - Stuffed Eggplant -didn’t meet our expectations, we preferred others in the menu over this. 4/5 - Butter Chicken - a typical preparation,flavorful and tasty. Overall we really enjoyed the food, few dishes didn’t meet our expectations but will come back for thosethat did. Hope the seating can be better next time. Read more
Let me tell you I am fan of this restaurant. I have been to San Francisco branch many a times before, this branch at palo alto... also surpassed passed my expectations as well when it comes to food. I am rating only 4 stars for few things i think should havebeen better here considering the fine dinning Michelin starer experience they were. Restaurant was too noisy. The glass theyserved water into was little stinky, it was there on the table before we arrived and its a open layout so not sure if it wasused, which is gross and they should have been careful. A little understaffed there was delay in getting drinks to the table. Ican see servers super busy serving the tables to their best capacity. This place is right by the street with limited off streetparking. There is parking around the block though check the spots on google maps before you go. Also its wheel chairaccessible. I will always recommend reserve before you head there, i have had to return few times since they apparently were notable to accommodate walk-ins. Read more
Wow. This take on modern Indian cuisine was outstanding. Fresh dishes, unique preparations, traditional and new flavors. When... we finished, the plates were completely clean. So delicious. Very impressive that so much flavor was delivered without any meatat all. Outstandingly delicious and a strong recommendation for any vegetarians looking for a satisfying meal full offlavor. 100% would go back. Only drawback is price. It’s in Palo Alto, so to be expected, but worth it if you’re lookingfor a special meal. Read more

I and my friends went there for my birthday. This was the first time for all of us to try this restaurant. The food was so good!... The staff is so good and friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to others. Was able to find a fine-dining Indian place inthe Bay Area. While all the dishes we ordered were amazing but my favorite was the chili cheese kulcha, bhuna mushroom, and thedessert saffron and pistachio ice cream. Read more
